Renew Your Drivers Licence:

You should receive an application to renew your driver’s licence in the mail about four to six weeks before it expires.
If you don’t receive your renewal notice or it has been lost or destroyed, phone or go to a Service SA customer service centre.

If you don’t receive your photo licence within one month phone 13 10 84.

Fees :
Fees are calculated on an administration fee plus the annual licence fee multiplied by the number of years you choose to renew.
For example – if your photograph was taken three years ago, you can renew your licence for up to seven years either online or in person without having a new photograph taken. If you want to renew it for a longer period, you will need to attend a photo point location so you can have a photograph taken. If you don’t need to have a photograph taken you have the option to renew your licence online.

Renewal options :

Your application form provides details on the options to renew your driver’s licence.
Generally, a driver’s licence may be renewed for any period between one and ten years. Your driver’s licence photograph is valid for ten years so the application renewal period options are based on the expiry date of your photograph.
