Online Registered Vehicle Information Service:

You may obtain detail of any kind of registered vehicle through this service. A fee will be charged for the full information service and the limited information can be obtained free of charge. Detail of the two types of information is indicated below and please select the service based on your requirement.

The information provided in this service is only for your reference and should not be misused. Department of Motor Traffic accepts no liability for the actions taken on the basis of the information provided here.

This service allows obtaining Full vehicle information and Limited vehicle information of any kind of registered vehicle. A convenience fee will be charged from the system based on the request.

The user shall provide the Vehicle Registration Number and Vehicle Chassis Number to view Full vehicle information or Limited vehicle information.

Full Vehicle Information Request:
Full information of a vehicle can be obtained from Department of Motor Traffic by making an online payment of Rs.150.00.

Limited Vehicle Information Request:
Limited information of a vehicle can be obtained from Department of Motor Traffic from here as a free service.

** Please click ‘Proceed’ button of Full Vehicle Information Request option in the home page.
** Select an authentication provider and login to the service
** Fill required fields with valid data
** Then click on ‘Submit’ button
** Then the system will display a confirmation screen.

Full Vehicle Information Request :
** Full information of a vehicle can be obtained from Department of Motor Traffic by making an online payment of Rs.150.00.

Vehicle Emission Testing :
What is this programme ?
** Checking vehicle emission to ascertain whether they are within the defined limits is done through this.

Documents and other requirements for vehicle emission testing :
** Registration certificate of the vehicle should be produced.
** Engine number and chassis number must be cleaned for easy reading.
** As the engine of the vehicle needs to be at the running temperature when produced for the test, the Engine must be switched on at least for 10 minutes.

** Vehicles with oil or emission gas leaks are not subjected to the test.
** The vehicle should be free of water leaks with the engine in good working condition. In case of any damage caused during testing to a vehicle subjected to the test without confirming to the said requirements, the loss should be borne by the owner.
