Evidence of Immigration Status ImmiCard :
The Evidence of Immigration Status ImmiCard is issued to holders of the following visa subclasses :
** subclass 050 or 051 Bridging visa E granted to Illegal Maritime Arrivals
** subclass 070 Bridging (removal pending) visa
** subclass 449 Humanitarian Stay (temporary) visa holders

** subclass 790 Safe Haven Enterprise visa.
The Evidence of Immigration Status card :
** records a card holder’s claimed identity at the time of issue
** helps a card holder access services in accordance with their temporary visa conditions.
How to order an Evidence of Immigration Status ImmiCard :
** If you have been granted subclass 785 Temporary Protection visa, a subclass 786 Temporary (humanitarian concern) visa or a subclass 790 Safe Haven Enterprise visa you can apply for an Evidence of Immigration ImmiCard online.
Evidence of immigration status ImmiCard for temporary :
** If you have been granted a Bridging visa E, a Temporary (humanitarian concern) visa, a Temporary Protection visa, a Humanitarian Stay (temporary) visa, a Safe Haven Enterprise visa, or a Bridging (removal pending) visa, you are eligible for an Evidence of Immigration Status (EIS) ImmiCard.
** Your visa grant notice will tell you if you need to apply online for an ImmiCard.
** If you have previously been issued an EIS ImmiCard, you do not need to order a new card.
** You can continue to use your existing EIS ImmiCard to verify your new visa and any entitlements using the Visa Entitlement Verification Online system known as VEVO.
** If your children were born in Australia they are not eligible for an ImmiCard as they can obtain an Australian birth certificate.
Australian Migration Status ImmiCard :
** Australian Migration Status Australian Government ImmiCard
** Australian Migration Status (AMS) ImmiCards are issued mainly to Refugee and Special Humanitarian Programme (RSHP) visa holders. They are also used by a small number of other visa holders who do not have, or cannot obtain, a passport recognised by the Australian Government.
** The AMS ImmiCard is an official International Civil Aviation Organization compliant Travel Document issued offshore, allowing visa holders to travel to and enter Australia for the first time.
** In Australia it is used as an official Commencement of Identity (COI) document that can be verified to access government services.

Permanent Resident Evidence ImmiCard :
** From 1 July 2017 the Permanent Residence Evidence ImmiCard will no longer be issued.
** Permanent Protection visa holders will be able to order an Evidence of Immigration Status ImmiCard online when their visa is granted.
** Permanent Residence Evidence ImmiCards issued before 1 July 2017 can continue to be accepted if verified online.
Residence Determination ImmiCard :
** From 1 July 2017 the Residence Determination ImmiCard will no longer be issued. Immigration detainees living in the community who do not have a visa will be issued with an Evidence of Immigration Status ImmiCard.
** Residence Determination ImmiCards issued before 1 July 2017 can continue to be accepted if verified online. The Residence Determination ImmiCard records a card holder’s claimed identity at the time of issue.
