Steps to activating your GT account and logging into BuzzPort :
** Visit Passport to activate your GT Account.
** You will be assigned a GT Account username and will then create your GT Account password.
** Please keep this information in a safe location as you will use your GT Account username and password to login to Buzzport.
** Use your GT Account username and password to log in to BuzzPort.
** Find the Application Quick View (bottom left-hand corner) and click Application Details to verify your personal information, track receipt of your documents and test scores, and view your application status.
** Personal information (including residency status) will not appear correctly in BuzzPort until we have fully processed your application.
** Please allow three to five weeks for processing.
FAQ :
When should I submit my official transcript if I am in progress with course requirements by major?
** We recommend you submit an official transcript now so we can complete an initial review of in progress coursework.
** You can then submit a final transcript with grades once your current term ends and before June 1.
How long should I wait for my application to be updated once I submit a document?
** Please allow our processing center 3-5 business days from the time it was received to post an update to your application.
** Electronic transcripts or emails to Undergraduate Admission are not automatic or immediately updated.
** Manual processes are still required. Your patience is appreciated.
Application deadlines vary by school and program :
** Some programs have deadlines as early as November for fall admission.
** Assistantships and fellowships are commonly awarded in early spring for programs that begin in the fall.
** To find out the exact dates that admission, financial aid, or award applications are due, contact your program of interest.
62 and Older Program :
** To enroll at Georgia Tech under the Board of Regents’ 62 or Older program, you must be a legal resident of Georgia. Students accepted under this program may enroll as a regular or auditing Georgia Tech student on a space-available basis.
** A waiver of in-state tuition and fees may be granted to a legal resident of Georgia aged 62 and over. This waiver can remain in effect as long as you are continuously enrolled. You will be responsible for supplies, laboratory, and shop fees.
Admission Requirements :
** 62 or Older Program students are expected to meet all Institute undergraduate admission requirements, along with prerequisites for the course(s) scheduled, regardless of the basis of enrollment.
To Apply to the Program :
Submit the following :
** Completed online admission application
** If you have never taken college-level courses, apply as a Freshman
** If you have taken college classes at any point, apply as a Transfer (degree-seeking) or a Special (non-degree seeking) student
** Non-refundable application fee ($75)
** High school transcript (required only if you are applying for freshman admission).
** SAT or ACT scores (required only if you are applying for freshman admission).
** Non-Degree Applicant Permission Form (Parts I & II) with departmental signature(s) (required only if you are applying as a Special/non-degree seeking student)
** You will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to access this form
** It is your responsibility to contact the appropriate academic department(s) to seek approval for any requested courses and submit the completed form with signatures.
** A birth certificate or other acceptable written documentation of age
** A completed 62-or-Older Program Information Sheet
