Renew & Replace A Lost, Damaged Or Stolen Pass :
Free Bus Pass – Renew An Expired Pass :
** You will not receive your new bus pass automatically when it expires – you will need to renew it.

You can renew your bus pass :
** Up to a month before the expiry date
** Up to a year after the expiry date.
** We may need to you provide a new photograph.
** If you attend a one stop shop we can take a photo of you while you wait.
** If you would like a new photograph you can either visit a one stop shop to renew, or send us a new photo with your renewal form.
** If your bus pass expired more than a year ago, you will need to re-apply.
** If you have a disabled person’s bus pass (with an orange stripe down the side) then we may need additional evidence to confirm your eligibility.
** Renewing your bus pass is free of charge. You will normally receive your new bus pass through the post within two weeks.
** You can use your new bus pass as soon as it arrives and you must cut up the old one.
** You cannot renew a bus pass which has been issued by a different authority – you will need to make a new application to Warwickshire County Council.
How to renew :
By telephone :
** You can call 01926 359180 and renew over the phone in most cases.
** We may ask you to visit a one stop shop or write to us if we need a new photograph or evidence of your name, address or a qualifying disability.
Online :
You will need :
** the long number from the front of your bus pass,
** an online WCC account – creating an account only take a few moments and all you will need is your own personal email address.
** We may ask you to visit a one stop shop or write to us if we need a new photograph or evidence of your name, address or up to date evidence of a qualifying disability.
In person :
** You can visit one of our one stop shops to renew your pass. You do not need to complete a form.
** If you would like a new photo on your pass then an advisor can take a photo of you while you are there.
** If you have changed your name or your address then you will need to bring evidence of your new details.
By post :
** If you have a disabled person’s pass then we may need to see up to date evidence of your eligibility and so we may need to write back to you asking for more information. Please write to the address below or contact us another way.
** If you have an older person’s pass, you can renew by post by completing the Renewal Request Form – Older Person’s Bus Pass and sending it to:

Update Your Details, Or Return A Pass :
Update/change your details :
** If you change your name, you will not automatically be issued with a new bus pass, as your old one will still work.
** To update/change your details you need to visit a one stop shop. You will need to provide evidence of your name change, or new address.
** This will ensure that any correspondence and renewals are sent to the correct address.
** If a bus pass is no longer required
** If the bus pass is no longer needed, or if you move outside of Warwickshire, you must return your bus pass.
** You should apply to your new local authority for a bus pass.
** Please return it at one of our one stop shops. You can also post to us, with a note explaining why, at the address below.
** We will then update our records and ensure that no unnecessary correspondence is sent.
If you find a lost bus pass :
** If you find a bus pass (which, may not belong to you) please hand it in at one of our one stop shops, or post it to the above address.
Replace A Lost, Damaged Or Stolen Pass :
** In your bus pass is lost, damaged or stolen please notify us as soon as possible by calling 01926 359180, or visit a one stop shop.
** If you would prefer to make the request by post, please complete a replacement pass request form and post it to us with the appropriate payment. Please do not send cash.
Costs For Replacement Bus Passes :
Reason | Cost |
Lost pass | £10 – Even if your pass is later found, this amount is non-refundable. |
Damaged pass | £10 – E.g. defaced, cracked or broken. This is non-refundable. |
Stolen pass | Free – There is no cost for a replacement pass if you provide a valid crime reference number. Otherwise the charge is £10. |
Faulty pass | Free – Passes which are faulty when issued, or which have a recognisable fault, will be replaced free of charge. |
** You can make a payment by card over the phone, cash in a one stop shop. *Some one stop shops accept card payments.
** You will normally receive a replacement bus pass within two weeks (10 working days).
