Freedom Pass for older people :

** Your Freedom Pass is valid on all Transport for London buses (in the Greater London area) London Underground (the ‘tube’), Overground and Docklands Light Railway network and London Trams at any time of day or night.

** Your pass is also valid on local bus services run by other bus companies which are outside the TfL bus network.
** Usually your pass will be valid Monday–Friday 9.30am–11pm and anytime at weekends and on public holidays.

You can also travel in Standard Class on most local rail services in London, provided you travel at the following times :
** Monday–Friday from 9.30am and until 4.30am the following morning
** weekends and public holidays at any time.

** If you are unable to apply online, you can pick up a paper application form, which you will need to complete and return via post.
** Application forms can be picked up from all Lewisham libraries and from the Customer Service centre reception in Laurence House.
** You will need to provide proof of your identity, proof of your address and one colour passport-sized photograph to apply.

Eligibility Age :
** The eligibility age is rising in line with the women’s state pension age.
** People born on or after 6 October 1954 will have to wait until they are 66 years old to be eligible for a Freedom Pass.
** You can find out whether you are eligible for a Freedom Pass by entering your date of birth into the eligibility calculator above.
** If you meet the age requirement you will be eligible for an older persons Freedom Pass regardless of whether or not you are working.

Documents and photograph :
** Documents to prove your identity and address must be provided for new applications.
** For all Freedom Pass applications one proof of name and age, and one proof of address is required.
** These should be photocopies and not originals. Original documents will not be returned.
1 x Proof of your name and age :
** Current passport
** Medical card
** Birth certificate (unless your name has changed)
** Current driving licence
** Letter of state pension entitlement
** European ID card

1 x Proof of your residential address :
** Current council tax bill/letter/payment book
** Current council/housing association rent book/statement/letter
** Current television licence
** Residential utility bill/Letter (excluding mobile phone bills) dated in the last 3 months
** HM Revenue and Customs letter dated in the last 3 months
** Department for Work and Pensions letter dated in the last 3 months
** Occupational pension letter dated in the last 3 months

Photograph :
** All Freedom Pass applications require a recent (within the last 12 months) passport sized colour photograph.

Your photograph must be :
** Colour and size 45mm x 35mm
** A current true likeness, showing your full face, facing forward without a hat
** Taken against a plain, evenly lit and pale coloured background
** If your photograph does not meet the above requirements we will not be able to accept your application for a Freedom Pass.
** If you are transferring from the 60+ Oystercard and have opted to share your information with us, we will be passed your photo by Transport for London, so you will not need to provide another.
