Making payment :
If you are applying in person :
** You can pay in cash or by credit/debit card.
If you are applying by post :
** We will contact you once we are processing your application to take payment over the phone by credit/debit card.

** We can also accept postal orders which should be made payable to City of Westminster.

Record searches :
** If you are doing family history research, you can come into The Registration Office and search our indexes.
** The fee to search the indexes is £18 (for not more than 6 successive hours). Please call 020 7641 7500 to make an appointment.
** When you have found the record you would like, you can order a copy certificate as detailed above.
Please note:
** If the event occurred outside of the City of Westminster, we are unable to provide a copy of the certificate.
** You will need to contact the General Register Office as they hold a central copy of all registrations for England and Wales.
