Replacement Of Driver License

Replacement Of Old Driver License :
To replace an old driver’s licence, an applicant’s must have a valid driver’s licence.

Requirements :
** Applicant must be physically present
** Old Driver’s Licence should be available

Procedure :
** Payment of the prescribed fee.
** Filling of the appropriate forms
** Authentication of Driver’s Licence

** Eye test
** Any other test the licensing Authority may prescribe
** Issuance of cover note
** Collection of licence

Replacement Of Lost Driver License :
To replace a lost Drivers’ Licence, an applicant must present a police extract and an ID card to the DVLA.

Requirements :
** Document search
** Payment of the prescribed Fees
** Filling of the appropriate Forms

** Authentication of Driver’s Licence
** Eye test
** Any other test DVLA may prescribe

** Issuance of cover note
** Collection of License

About Us :
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) is a public organisation under the Ministry of Transport. It was established in 1999 by an Act of Parliament (Act 569), 1999.

DVLA replaced the Vehicle Examination and Licensing Division (VELD). By the Act, DVLA is to provide a regulated framework for an enhanced and more effective administration of drivers and vehicles. DVLA was granted partial autonomy by Government in April, 2016.
