Apply Student Visa :
All persons who are desirous of pursuing a course of study in Barbados shall apply for a student visa before entering the island. Applications for student visas should be submitted on the prescribed form to the Immigration Department as stated below.

New Application :
** One (1) H1 application form
** One (1) H2 application form
** Birth Certificate
** Cover letter from the school
** Letter of accommodation from the landlord (for persons 18 years of age and over)
** Proof of financial resources (for persons 18 years of age and over)
** Letter of support (for persons under 18 years of age)
** Two (2) passport size photographs
** Proof of the status of parents or guardians in Barbados
** Proof of consent when required
** Police Certificate of Character (PCC) from any country in which the applicant has resided for a period of six (6) months or more after the age of 16
** Timetable for course of study detailing the number of hours of study per day
** A copy of the bio-data page of the applicant’s valid passport
Renewal Of Student Visas :
** One (1) H3 application form
** A valid passport
** One (1) passport size photo
** Evidence of previous student visa issued
** Progress report from the institution the child or the applicant is currently attending.
** Letter from school showing that there are no outstanding fees
** Timetable for course of study detailing the number of hours of study per day
** Police Certificate of Character (PCC) from Barbados for persons over the age of 16
** A copy of the bio-data page of applicant’s valid passport
Transfers :
** Requirements same as for a new application
** One (1) H1 student transfer form
** One (1) H2 student transfer form
** One (1) H4 student transfer form
** A copy of the bio-data page of applicant’s valid passport
Important Points To Note :
** The application fee for a student visa is BDS$300.00
** All forms must be vetted by the Ministry of Education and signed by the intended school official prior to submission to the Immigration Department.
** Students attending the UWI, the BCC and the SJPP shall submit their forms through their respective institutions.
** There is no final fee in the case of student visas and these visas are valid for a period of up to one year.
** Applications are to be submitted at least three (3) months in advance of the commencement of the course of study.
** Documents issued in a foreign language must be accompanied by an official translation.
