CAC Check for Name Availability

Step1 : Go to home page, type the company names in the text fields written “Name option1” “Name option2” and click on “proceed”

Step 2 : fill in the corresponding form and click on “Next”
Step 3 : Review the company’s information details from the look up, fill the additional Information and click on “next”

Step 4
: Make your payment; select a payment option and click on “Next”. Also note the Transaction Reference ID
Step5 : Select the form of payment you prefer(MasterCard ,visa or pay with bank account) And click on “proceed”



Step 6
: Fill in the card details and click on “Ok” to complete the payment process or “Cancel” to abort the process. After the payment has been approved or disapproved, you will get a payment receipt

Step 7
: After payment has been made, to check your application status or your payment status, go to “My Reservation History”. If your payment was approved and your application status still reads “Not Submitted”.

Kindly click on “Action” , then click on “View payment history” to enable you know your payment status. If the payment status reads FAILED, DISAPPROVED or IN PROGRESS, kindly click on the “Check Status” to manually check your payment status then wait for 15mins to see the updated status of your payment.

5. But I am outside Nigeria how am I affected?
This service is available for anybody to use from anywhere in the world at any point in time. Payment options available though are debit/credit cards as well as internet banking with any of the Nigerian banks.

6. How will i know if My Name Availability Was Approved or Declined?
Once your name search request has been processed; you would receive an email notification in your officially registered email address.

Then on logging in to your CAC-CRP account; you would be able to see the status of your application as well as generate the availability approval/disapproval form.
