Officers of the Timor-Leste Revenue Service are not authorised to receive payments from taxpayers.

Pay Taxes at a BNU Branch :
To pay taxes in Timor-Leste you are required to :
** complete 3 copies of the relevant monthly taxes form or annual income tax form, and
** deliver these forms and the amount of tax to be paid to a branch of the Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU).
BNU will stamp the forms :
** one copy will be retained for the Timor-Leste Revenue Service, and
** the other will be returned to you for your records.

Taxes may also be paid electronically using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). You may transfer USD to :

** Taxpayer Name

** Year, and
** Tax Type.
Note that your completed income tax form will still need to be sent to the National Directorate Domestic Tax with ‘electronic payment’ marked on the payment advice section on the last page of the form.

Due Dates for Payments :
Annual Income Tax : Pay On or Before 31 March
** Final payment of income tax is due on or before 31 March, following the end of the tax year, along with lodging an Annual Income Tax Return.
** If you paid wages to any of your employees for all or part of the year, you must also submit an annual Employer Wage Income Tax Withholding Form at the end of the tax year and after any deductions for the last payment period have been paid, together with any payment on or before 31 March.
** If 31 March falls on a weekend or a public holiday, the form and payment are due on the next business day.
** The tax year is from 1 January to 31 December.
Other Taxes: Pay Before 15thDay of the Month
Payments for :
** wage income tax
** withholding tax
** income tax installments, and
** services tax
** are to be made on or before the 15th day of the month, following the month or quarter to which the payment relates.
** If the 15th is not a business day, payment is due the next business day.
