Apply Online and Check Status :
** Welcome to the online service of issuing certificates. Please note that your certificate is a confidential document and only you can use it.
Enter the reference number and click Search button to view the status.
** Any attempt to alter the information contained in the certificate or use the certificate by another person can be considered as forgery and it is a punishable offense under the law.
** This service enables past candidates of GCE Advanced Level and Ordinary Level to request for the Certificate on-line. Required payment is also captured on-line and the applications are provided with a facility to check the status until the certificate is ready for collection or dispatched as requested.
** Please click ‘log in’ button to log in and proceed with services.

Steps to apply for certificates :
** Click the Login button and login using a desired authentication provider. This will be appeared in a pop-up window.
** Click the Accept and Proceed button.
** Select the relevant Exam and Year from drop-down lists and enter the index number.
** Click the Submit button.
** System will show the name as it is available in the database. You will have to accept the name since the name which will be appeared in the screen will be printed in the certificate. (If there is a mismatch in the name, dont proceed with applying for the certificate on-line. Contact the certificate branch of the DOE for further details).
** Click the Accept button if the name is correct.
** Select the collection method and enter other details. It is essential to provide accurate details.
** If you wish to complete the request, click the Pay button to proceed with the payment.
** Next screen will show the amount payable. Click Continue button.
** Click Accept button to accept the terms and conditions of the Lanka Government Payment Service and select the desired payment option.
** Enter details as required by the selected payment option.
** System will show a relevant message indicating the status of the transaction. If the payment is successful, you will see an on-line transaction receipt which can be printed. Please note the transaction reference number which will be useful for further inquiry and follow-up.
** Apart from the receipt, you will receive an email with transaction details upon successful transactions.
Steps to check the status:
** You will have to use the transaction reference number to check the status.
** Once you successfully login, click the Check Status button.

What is the charge for a certificate :
Rs. 250 for a certificate. Additionally a convenience fee (around 2%-2.5%) will be charged.
Can I request for several certificates at once :
No. Currently on-line system allows only one certificate at once.
Can I request for the same certificate again :
Yes
How many days will it take to process :
Normally 2-3 days.
