What is Sri Lanka Vehicle Revenue Licence Service?
** First License is issued for all Motor Vehicles except Motor Cycles and Three Wheels by Office of the Provincial Commissioner of Motor Traffic, Western Province, Sri Lanka.

** But First License is issued by Office of the Provincial Commissioner of Motor Traffic, Western Province for Motor Cycles and Three Wheels that vehicles are in Colombo and Thimbirigasyaya Divisions.
** Revenue License is issued for a year starting from Registered Date.
** License is renewal starting from second License, from Divisional Secretariat Office that is relevant with Registered Certificate Address. (Except Colombo and Thimbirigasyaya Divisions)
Note:
Kaduwela, Katana, Panadura Divisional Secretariat offices and our office are connected to Lanka gate Network. Now on line revenue license issue from these offices. Therefore you can get every revenue license from these offices for resisted vehicles in Western province.
Documents Required For Revenue License
** Registration Certificate of Vehicle or The Extract Containing Particulars of the Vehicle Issued by the Commissioner of Motor Traffic (CMT-76 or MTA-11 ) or Certified Photo Copy of C.R. Approved by Finance Organization.
** Revenue License of the Previous Year.
** Valid Vehicle Insurance Policy Certificates.
** Fitness Certificates for Commercial Vehicles.
** Passenger Service permits for Omni Bus.
** Valid Emission certificate
What are Commercial Vehicles?
Commercial Vehicles are,
** Motor Lorry
** Private Couches
** Omni Bus
** Motor tricycle van
** Ambulance
** Hearse
Penalties
** As the licensing year of a motor vehicle commence from the day and the month on the date of the first registration of that motor vehicle, be made within three working days of the corresponding day of the corresponding month (hereinafter called “the due date for the payment of license fee”) of the year in respect of which the license is applied for When a period is not exceeding 6 months has elapsed after the due date of payment of license fees-10% of the prescribed annual fee.
** When a period of over 6 month s but less than 12 months has elapsed after the due date for payment of license fees 20% of the prescribed annual fee.
** When a period is over 12 months has elapsed after the due date for payment of license fees 30% of the prescribed annual fee.
What is Proportionate Fee?
Situations :
** Vehicles that changed the registration number rates will be applied from changed date to registration date.
** Vehicles that have obtained the notice of non-user obtain a license again; rates will be applied from applied date to registration date.
** If a vehicle purchase from an auction or any other manner with the possession of a free license, rates will be applied from purchased date to next registration date.
** If license request for next time duration for misplacement license, rates will be applied for approximate months.
** Converted vehicle class or changed fuel type.
Duplicates : Customer should pay proportionate fee for valid period of time for get new license.
Situation : Distortion or Differ the license.
Documents : Certified copy of a Police entry for misplacement of the license.

My vehicle is registered in Kegalle District. Could I take online revenue licence for the same?
