How to Apply
You can apply for an adjustment via our Online Application service (only members with CPF Account Number can access to the online application), or complete the Application Form Adjustment of CPF payment (PDF, 1.0MB) and mail it back to the Board or email to employer-accounts [AT] cpf.gov.sg. The application must be submitted to the Board within one year from the date of payment of CPF contributions.
Please note that :
** The form cannot be used for refund applications or to make good any underpayment of CPF contributions.
** The adjustment is subject to the availability of funds in the employee’s CPF accounts.
** Employers have to notify the employees affected by the adjustment.

Adjustment of CPF Contributions
1. I have indicated the wrong relevant month / CPF Submission Number (CSN) / payment type in my CPF contribution. How can I request to make an adjustment?
You can submit an online application for “Adjustment of CPF Payment”.
Note : You can only access this online application when you have a CPF Account number and CPF Submission Number (CSN).
Alternatively, you can complete the application form for “Adjust CPF Payment by Employer” (DMS/REQ01) (PDF, 1.0MB) and email it to employer-accounts [AT] cpf.gov.sg.
Note :
** Application for the adjustment has to be made within one year from the date of payment. Otherwise, it will be deemed as properly paid and cannot be adjusted.
** You have to inform all the employees affected by the adjustment.
** Application is subject to the availability of funds in the member’s CPF account.
** You will receive a notification letter after the adjustment has been processed.
2. If I have accidentally submitted the CPF contribution twice, can I request for an adjustment to my future month contribution?
As the CPF contribution details for the future month is not yet confirmed, we would not be able to make an adjustment.
You can apply for a full refund* of the wrong submission within one year from the date of payment instead. *refers to refund of the whole payment submitted in a single file or on a single receipt date
How to apply for a refund :
1. In a letter or email, state :
** Company’s name
** CPF Submission Number (CSN);
** Reason for the refund;
** Receipt date;
** Amount to be refunded;
** All the affected employee(s) have been informed of the refund request; and
** Employers without a Direct Debit arrangement with the Board, have to indicate their bank account details and enclose a copy of the bank statement.
2. The refund application should be emailed to employer-refund [AT] cpf.gov.sg or mailed to :
** Central Provident Fund Board
** Collection Services Department
** (Refund Management)
** Robinson Road
** P.O. Box 3060
** Singapore 905060
The refund will take approximately 7 working days. Employer and employee(s) will be notified after the refund has been made.
Refunds may take longer than 7 working days if :
** the payment is still in process when employers submit the request;
** there are insufficient funds in member’s CPF account; or
** employers have outstanding liability.
Refund of CPF Contributions Paid in Error
1. I overpaid the late payment interest. Must I apply for a refund of the excess amount?
CPF Board will automatically refund the excess amount to you either by Direct Debit (if the bank account that you had previously registered with us is still valid), or by cheque. You will receive a letter informing you of the refund.
2. I have many employees. Can I photocopy the application form for refund of CPF contributions paid in error?
You can make photocopies of the application form. However, do note that each form has to be duly completed with original signatures before submitting to the Board.
