Online Fine Payment :
If you have received a summons (ticket) for a moving (e.g. speeding) or non-moving (e.g. parking) offence, and you have not dealt with it by the due date on the summons, you may be convicted in absence.
A Registry Agent service fee (plus GST), is charged for all transactions.
The overdue fine will then be transferred to the Motor Vehicles database where a late penalty charge will be added. This outstanding fine must be paid before any motor vehicle service can be performed for you. Outstanding fines can be paid at any registry agent office or on-line. Alberta Motor Association locations provide services to members only.
To pay a traffic ticket online, you will require :
** A Part 3 Violation Ticket (yellow copy, current or overdue) (Note : If the ticket is overdue, any late payment charges are added to the original fine amount. If you do not pay the full overdue amount, your motor vehicle services will remain restricted.)
** A valid VISA or Mastercard for payment
** A web browser that has 128-bit encryption capabilities (to ensure the security of your transaction)

Vehicle Registration Renewals
If there has been no changes in your vehicle information and/or address, you can now renew your Class 3 passenger vehicle (this includes cars, light trucks, vans, and motor homes exclusively used for personal transportation on a private, non-commercial basis) and motorcycle registrations by simply filling out an online renewal application. Your renewal will be processed within 24 hours and a new vehicle registration certificate and tabs (validation stickers) for your licence plate will be mailed out within 10 business days. If you are 10 days or less away from your expiry date, you should renew your registration in person to avoid being charged for replacement validation stickers if they do not arrive in the mail prior to expiry. If you renewed your registration more than 10 days prior to expiry and have still not received your validation tabs, you have 30 days to request replacement tabs at no charge from a registry agent.
Note: Registrations outside of the Class 3 passenger or motorcycle designation must be renewed in person.
To fill out the online form, you will need :
** The vehicle renewal notice that was mailed out to you (approximately 4-6 weeks prior to the expiry of your registration)
** A valid VISA or MasterCard to pay the renewal fee
** Valid proof of insurance ‘pink card’
** A web browser that has 128-bit encryption capabilities (to ensure the security of your transaction)
