** to provide an opportunity to young scholars, particularly those from developing countries, to conduct research at the postdoctoral level and gain experience in an international academic environment;
** to provide scholars from other countries an opportunity to interact with Malaysian scholars and, in doing so, build linkages between them and the relevant UNU institutes;
** to provide UNU-IIGH with an opportunity to benefit from the diverse knowledge, background, and experience offered by other scholars from around the world.
The UNU-IIGH Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme is for an initial period of 12 months, with possibility of renewal for another 12 months based on the fellow’s satisfactory performance. The fellowship is remunerated by an annual stipend divided into 12 months.
