Work Permits Ceiling Increase :

Through this service, employers can request for increasing the ceiling number of work permits. The increase can be up to 5 or 9 work permits.

Process Description :
** Submit a request for a ceiling increase through LMRA EMS system.
** Upload the required documents for the ceiling increase.

** Commercial registration (Copy)
** Recent bank statement of the establishment (Copy)
** Latest electricity bill (Copy)
** Photos from the interior and the exterior of the establishment premises (Copy)
** Proof of work volume (example : awarded project’s contracts supported with construction permits if the company is working in the construction sector, or invoices of imported products from outside Bahrain, supported by the customs invoices if the company is working in the retail import and export sector, or copies of vehicles ownership owned by the company if the company is working in the transport sector, or customs papers verifying the shipment of goods if the company is working in loading and unloading activities (Copy)

What is LMRA’s role in the disputes that could arise between the employee and the employer?
Problems or disputes that arise between the employee and the employer (non-payment of salaries, leave entitlements, health and safety issues etc…) are out of LMRA’s jurisdiction. Such problems have to be reported at the Ministry of Labour’s Complaints Department in Isa Town.

** Expatriates are allowed to access the e-support through entering their CPR in (User name)box.

** To login Expatriates will use their Passport expiry date as their password in DD-MM-YYYY Format.

How can I follow up on a submitted application through the e-support system?
To follow up on any applications submitted through the e-support system, please follow these steps :
** Login to the e-support system.
** Click on “View submitted applications” icon.
** Click on the application subject you would like to follow up on.

In case the application has been resolved and you are not pleased with the resolution, you may re-open the application through posting a reply by clicking on “Post Reply” icon.

If the application has been resolved and you are pleased with the resolution, you may rate your application resolution through the rating application service provided by e-support system.

How to react if my employer is refusing to accept my resignation or notice?
If your employer refuses to accept your resignation or notice, you need to go to the post office and send it as registered mail to the company’s official address (this address must be the same physical address registered at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce .

How to submit a new application through the e-support system?
** Click on the “Submit new application” icon.
** Choose the concerned department.
** Click on “Next”.

** Enter the relevant information, depending on your request, and sufficient application details.
** Upload the required documents.

** You may upload more than one document if necessary; the capacity of each file should not be more than 256 KB.
** Click on “Send”.
