LMRA CR Ownership Transfer
Through this service, employers can transfer the CR ownership to another person.

Process Description :
** Visit the Ministry of Industry & Commerce (MOIC) and request approval on the notification letter.
** Submit the approved notification form and the required documents at LMRA Client Services Counter. LMRA will take a decision on the application within the same day and the EMS system will be updated within 1 week.
** Fill in the ownership transfer form at LMRA client services counter.

Can I Transfer from visit visa to work permit?
Yes, this is possible, provided that the company applies for a work permit while the visit visa is still valid (at least for 7 days). If the visit visa has expired or will be expired after 6 days, the company must extend it first in NPRA before applying for the work permit.
Note : people, who have been on a business or visit visa for 30 days or more, must travel out of the country before their application for a work permit can be submitted.
How long would LMRA take to process and issue my work permit or my dependants permit? and what are the fees?
LMRA’s total processing time is between 1 and 10 business days, provided that all the submitted information and documents were correct and clear and that the requirements were fulfilled at the time of submission.

How can I track my work permit applications?
You can track your work permit application progress by entering the work permit application ID in the LMRA express services. The work permit application ID can be obtained from the employer’s representative who applied for your permit and your family’s permits.
Please note that according to our procedures, we can only discuss work permit application related matters and follow-ups with the persons who have been registered at LMRA as authorised/ responsible persons, and we cannot disclose this information directly to the concerned employees and their families.
If I have an employment contract for a certain period of time and I resign before the end of my contract, can my employer charge me for the work permit and government related fees?
No, the employer is not allowed to charge you any fees for the work permit, but he has the right to sue for damages as a result of the breach or premature cancellation of a time-specified contract.
