TIGO has joined hands with twitter.com to offer twitter SMS service to all its customers. Tigo customers who have Twitter accounts now have a chance to explore their accounts anytime by chatting, updating and tweeting on their accounts through their mobile phones without internet connection.

How to Get Started :
A. Create a Twitter Account :
** Go to twitter.com
** Click “Sign Up Now”
** Create a username and password.
** Follow the registration steps as prompted until you are able to tweet!
B. Activate TWITTER SMS service on your mobile phone :
** Send START to 15508. You will receive the following message : Reply with your Username (if you already have a Twitter account. If not, please register first through twitter.com).
** You will receive the following message : Reply with your Password
** If you entered your password correctly, you will receive the following message : Reply with OK
** You will receive the following message : Note: Any MO sent to 15508 will be your tweet and it will appear on your timeline.
C : Notification Settings:
** Log into your Twitter account and select “Settings” and confirm that your device has been verified. Click mobile tab to verify your mobile number.
** Go to mobile notifications on mobile setting to select notifications and duration.
** Lastly, save changes.
Note :
** Now that your device has been verified you can : Send tweets with text messaging on your phone
** Receive text direct messages and tweets from users you want to be notified about.
** Send the word TIPS to 15508 and get a list of the things you can do with Twitter SMS.
