Type Approval online system allows manufacturers and suppliers of telecom equipment customers to apply for Dealer registration , telecommunication equipment’s approval and custom clearance services, it also allows publics to apply for custom clearance for non-commercial use

To access and use Type Approval online system, customer must complete the initial registration process( user name and password), then start applying for different services through the user account.
Type Approval Online Steps:
1. Visit TRA website: www.tra.gov.ae
2. Click on (e-services) then Type Approval
3. Open the Type Approval solution:
** If your company is not registered with TRA click on Become a registered Dealer as shown in figure (A).
** If your company already registered click on Already a registered Dealer as shown in figure (B). to Active your online account, dealer registration number should be available to complete the acount activation.
4. Fill up all required details to set a login password:

The registered company need to use the valid Dealer registration number
5. User will receive the activation email:

Password should be contians letters, numbers and speical charcters
Your link will be expired within 24 hours
6. Start using the service:

8. Fill the Authorized Contact Information fields
9.Fill the Business License Information fields
10. Fill Equipment Overview fields

Is it allowed to register foreign manufacturer under a consultancy name?
No, manufacturer should register; however, consultant can submit the applications on behalf of the manufacturer when a power of attorney is available.

Yes, but it must not affect public network and some of them need approval from TRA

One to three days, but it may take more depending on equipment.
What are your standards and how can I obtain copies?
The TRA publishes technical specifications with which RTTE shall comply. In the absence of a suitable relevant specification, the TRA may specify technical requirements on a case-by-case basis. Please refer to the Technical Standards section above
