Obtaining Employment Permits and Working Visas for Foreign Executives, Managers and Specialists at International Firms :
Applying for a Work Permit and (B-1) Visa for Israel :

The process for obtaining a B-1 visa includes four steps :
**Submission of a work permit application to the Semech Unit operated by the Ministry of Interior (MOI)

**An Israeli employer or a foreign company officially sponsors and submits a work permit application. A work permit application must contain a detailed description of the job position offered and details relating to the prospective employee, including
**Submission of a visa application to the MOI
**Upon receiving the Semech Unit’s recommendation letter, the employer can submit a
**In parallel or following the submission of the visa application to the MOI, the foreign employee, a declaration that the employee understands the employment terms, d
**Issuance of a short term B-1 visa at the relevant Israeli consular post abroad, prior to entry into Israel
**Upon receiving a wire from MOI approving the employee’s visa application and supporting documents, the Israeli consulate in the foreign country compares all of the d.
**If all of the conditions are fulfilled and paperwork completed, the consulate can issue a B-1 visa to the employee. The employee then has 90 days to enter Israel before the approval expires.
**Extension of the B-1 visa at the MOI after arrival in Israel and Obtaining of a multiple-entry visa for the entire B-1 approval period

Obtaining Employment Permits and Working Visas for Foreign Executives :
** To obtain a permit to employ senior foreign employees in Israel, international firms  (currently 18,176 NIS.)
** The firm’s legal representative or branch in Israel must submit the following items (original or certified by lawyer or accountant) to the Unit :
** Completed application form that includes several declarations
** Updated information regarding the company’s registration and activities in Israel
** Power of attorney authorizing the local representative to act on behalf of the foreign company
** All relevant information about the applicant, including the nature of position in Israel, e not in Hebrew or English must be translated to Hebrew with notary certification.
** An attached letter explaining the need for employing this foreign worker in Israel. Additional documents may be included in support of this as well such as from government officials.
