Mobile Banking Tips :
Storage of password / personal information :
** Don’t hide personal information such as passwords, PIN numbers or any personal information in your phone as fraudsters are experts in finding those files.
Always try to memorize your banking details and ensure any and all information is deleted before you sell the device or give it to anyone else.
Keeping software on your device up to date :
** To ensure your device is always current, you should regularly check for software updates.
** When in doubt on how to update, you should contact the customer care of your phone’s manufacturer and have your phone updated.
** Security software for smartphones and tablets are also available as part of standard features and you should familiarize yourself with these features and use them
Jaibreak / Phon modification :
** When you jailbreak your phone, you are breaking the manufacturer’s security on your phone and void your warranty.
** With the manufacturer’s security compromised, this can leave your device vulnerable to infection from viruses and Trojans.
Device protection when not in use :
** Almost all devices enable you to lock your phone so that a PIN number is required to unlock it.
** You should ensure that you have this setup on your device, and always keep it locked when it is not in use.
** This feature would help you protect your information in case your phone is stolen or misplaced.
