Health Professionals’ Annual Licensing :

Every license issued is valid for the year in which it is issued and expires on the 31st day of December of that year. Licensing fees vary according to the health profession.

Failure to renew your license on time will result in payment of a late fee in addition to the renewal fee. It is important to renew your license by the end of March, as the Council will not consider you registered until such act is completed.

Eligibility :
Any health professional operating in the following fields:
** Acupuncture Therapy.
** Audiology and Speech Language Pathology.
** Chiropody and Podiatry.
** Chiropractic.
** Clinical Psychology.
** Dietetics.
** Emergency Services Technology.
** Medical Laboratory Technology.
** Occupational Therapy.
** Optometry and Opticianary.
** Pharmacists and Pharmacy Testing.
** Physiotherapy and Respiratory Therapy.
** Radiography.

Process :
** Complete application form.
** Attach supporting documents.
** Submit along with related fees.

Application Form(s) :
Annual Licensing form, also available at the offices of the Health Professions Council.

Supporting Documents :
** Current Work Permit or Employment Contract (non-Bahamians; originals or notarised copies).
** Certificates for additional qualifications attained since last renewal (originals or notarised copies)

Turn-around time :
Please liaise with Health Professions Council for this.

Deadline :
March 31st, each year

BS$210.00, inclusive of BS$10.00 licence identification fee.

Please note that failure to renew your licence on time would result in an additional late fee being charged and that all payments must be by certified cheque.
