Licensing of Medical Practitioners :
A one-time registration fee and an annual license fee are required of relevant health practitioners. All persons registered are eligible for a licence that confirms them as a fully licensed medical practitioner, upon payment of $200 fee. The licence is valid for one year and should be renewed.

Licences will be renewed upon submission of application for renewal and payment of the fee. Renewal fees must be paid by 31st December of the preceding year and no later than 31st January each year. Failure to pay within this period will result in a $200 late fee owed in addition to the renewal fee.
If your license is lost, damaged or destroyed, it can be replaced with a copy issued by the Council. A $35.00 application fee payment is required.

Submit completed form with the prescribed fee and supporting documents to the Health Professions Council.
*All non-Bahamians must submit a current work permit or contract along with their application. (Only a notarized copy will be accepted if the original cannot be presented for verification.)
