What is Incapacity Supplement?
Incapacity Supplement can be paid as a supplement to people getting Disablement Benefit. It is paid to people who are permanently incapable of work because of an accident or disease suffered at work. It is only paid to those who do not qualify for certain other social welfare payments. This supplement is not means-tested. You may be entitled to claim an increase for a qualified adult, if you have a spouse, civil partner or cohabitant and an increase for a qualified child who normally lives with you.
How To Qualify for Incapacity Supplement?
To Qualify for Incapacity Supplement are given below,
** You can only qualify if you do not qualify for Illness Benefit , Invalidity Pension or Disability Allowance.
** This supplement is not means-tested.
** You may be entitled to claim an increase for a qualified adult, if you have a spouse, civil partner or cohabitant and an increase for a qualified child who normally lives with you.
** The deciding officer will then assess if you are incapable of work due to an injury or illness you suffered as a result of your previous job
How To Apply Incapacity Supplement?
To Apply Incapacity Supplement, Follow the below steps
** If you already receive Disablement Benefit, you can become eligible for Incapacity Supplement.
** The deciding officer will then assess if you are incapable of work due to an injury or illness you suffered as a result of your previous job.
** This involves a medical report.
** If you don’t receive any other social welfare payments, the deciding officer will arrange for a claim form for Incapacity payment to be sent to you to begin your application process.
