Zambia Immigration Apply For Residence Permit

This Permit confers permanent residence to the holder and is issued to: persons who have been ordinarily and lawfully residents in Zambia; Parents, wife, minor children and grandchildren of Residence permit and Zambians; Holders of Employment or Investor’s Permits for at Least 10 and 3 years respectively.

Application for Residence Permit:
(persons who have been ordinarily and lawfully residents in Zambia)

Required Documents:
** Complete Application Form (Form 4) in duplicate
** Two recent passport size photos
** Certified copy of Birth Certificate of the applicant.
** Documentary evidence of divorce or legal separation (if applicable).
** Two testimonials as to character from persons of standing who have known the applicant for a minimum period of three (3) years (reference letters).
** Full details of business should be submitted.
** A certified copy of the applicant’s valid passport.
** Covering letter to Director General of immigration
** Submission of documentary evidence in support of continuous stay in Zambia from 1963. Documents should be in the form of electricity bills, water bills, pay slips, birth records, school reports/certificates, Radio/TV Licenses, Income Tax receipts; etc.
** Certified copy of Aliens/Commonwealth Registration card

( or Parents, wives, minor children and grandchildren of Residence permit horders and Zambians):
** documentary evidence of financial support (financially dependant applicants)
** Completion of application form (Form 4) for adults and (Form 5) for children aged between 7-15 years old.
** Two recent certified passport size photographs;
** Certified copy of Marriage Certificate (if married).
** Photocopies of previous and current passport;
** Supporting letter from the parents/guardian/spouse;
** Certified copy of Aliens/Commonwealth Registration card.
** Covering letter to Director General of immigration
** Proof of relationship (Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate)
** Payment of a prescribed fee

(for Holders of Employment Permits for at Least 10 years):
** Application form (Form 4) ;
** Two recent passport size photographs;
** Original employment permit;
** Certified copy of Aliens/Commonwealth Registration cards
** Two reference letters
** Covering letter to Director General of immigration
** Documentary proof of professional or other qualifications.
** a contract of employment if offered employment in Zambia) must be submitted
** Payment of a prescribed fee

(for holders of Investor’s Permit for more than 3 years):
** Application form (Form 4) ;
** Two recent passport size photographs;
** Original Investors permit;
** Inspection report from the nearest Immigration Office;
** Current bank Statement and Audit report from the ZICA; affiliated audit firm
** Certified copy of Aliens/Commonwealth Registration card.
** Tax receipts
** Payment of a prescribed fee

Variation of Residence Permit (Change of Employer):
** Complete (Form 9)
** Original Permit
** submission of professional certificates
** letter of release from previous employer
** letter of offer from the prospective employer
** Payment of a prescribed fee

Variation of Residence Permit (Inclusion of a new business and change of company):
** Complete (Form 9)
** submission of certificate of incorporation,
** list of Directors and original entry permit.
** Latest Bank Statement
** Payment of a prescribed fee
