Tips on using Internet Banking:
** Avoid using public terminals (such as Internet cafes) for Internet banking.

** Do not open other websites while logged into Internet Banking; only have a single browser window open.
** Choose a User ID and password that cannot be easily guessed and change these regularly.

** Ensure your computer software is up-to-date.
** Do not install any kind of unlicensed or pirated software.
** When you complete your online banking tasks, log off and close the browser window.
** Never provide your password over the Internet (by email) or over the telephone to anyone.
** Do not trust a PDF payment proof unless verified by the bank – these documents can be manipulated by fraudsters.
** Always use the virtual key board so that no one can track your password.
** Whenever a problem arises during your internet banking always contact the Bank for support or any other queries.
** Immediately inform your bank about change in your address or email id.
** Remember to change the Password regularly. Once you have logged in then you become solely liable for you money loss.
** Always choose password or user name that are not easy to guess e.g. you must not use your date of birth, spouse name, telephone number or city of birth.
** Always use highest security option when you use online email.
** Go through terms of use of any site specially those that you use regularly.
** Do not email sensitive information such as your credit card number, debit card number, passwords, etc.

Do’s:
** Do keep your computer access ids and passwords confidential and secure.
** Do choose your password carefully. Choose a password that uses a combination of numbers and alphabets.
** Change your password regularly.
** Avoid using a PC for banking and other transactions from public areas such as Internet cafes.
** Install reputable anti-virus software and ensure that it is updated regularly. Check with your local software supplier on the best software for you.
** Install a personal internet firewall to provide extra protection for your computer. Check with your local software supplier on the best software for you.
** When you have finished using the Internet Banking Service, make sure you click on “Logout” to exit.
** Close your Internet browser after logging out of each Internet Banking session .
** Turn off your computer when it is not in use.
** Check the ‘Last Logged In’ information in each internet banking session – report promptly any irregularities to us.
** Report suspected security breaches immediately. If you are concerned that another person has ascertained your password, you should immediately change it and advise us .
Don’ts:
** Do not access banking sites from a link in an email.
** Never, in response to any email, provide your personal or security details, including Internet Banking user ID or password.
** Do not open, run, install or use programs or files obtained from a person or organisation you do not know or is not a reputable vendor.
** Do not open email attachments from unknown sources. Email is one of the prime movers for malicious viruses. Delete any emails you think are suspicious. Delete the email from your ‘Inbox’, and delete it again from your Deleted’ folder, or ‘Sent’ folder if you have forwarded on the email.
** Never open an executable (.exe file) retrieved or received online unless you are expecting it from a trusted source.
** Do not leave the screen idle for long periods or leave PC unattended.
** Always remember that information like password, PIN, TIN, etc are strictly confidential and are not known even to employees/service personnel of the Bank. You should therefore, never divulge such information even if asked for.
