How To Request Deed/Extract Online in Sri Lanka?
You can place your request at any time of the day. Requests will be processed and delivered only in working days of Registrar General’s Department.

Steps:
Step-1 : Go to the link https://online.land.rgd.gov.lk/request
Step-2 : Enter your Phone Number
Step-3 : Enter the Requester Name
Step-4 : Enter the Email Name
Step-5 : Select the Document Type and Requester Type
Step-6 : Click On “Send PIN” Button.
Note:
** Prior to place a request, please verify your mobile phone number
** You can place your request at any time of the day. Requests will be processed and delivered only in working days of RGD.
** Only owner of the land/ his attorney or a representative who is having proper authorized letter by granting power can be applied for getting copies.
** Only 05 Maximum folio copies can apply by a single application.
** The pages less than 10 in a deed can be obtained certified copies by this system.
** The deeds or folios of the condominium properties cannot be obtained from this system.
** I declare that I have proper power to apply and in case of any discrepancy in the requested copies, the Registrar General or his staff are not responsible for any mistake and they are free from such mistakes.
** This is not an one-day service.
You can request certified copies of deeds and extracts online through the Sri Lankan Registrar General’s Department (RGD) website.

1. Accessing the Online Portal:
Visit the RGD’s online Deed/Extract Request portal: https://online.land.rgd.gov.lk/
2. Filling Out the Request Form:
** Enter your mobile phone number and click “Send PIN.” A verification PIN will be sent to your phone.
** Once verified, provide your name, email address, and select the document type (Deed Copy or Extract Copy) you require.
** Choose the “Requester Type” (Individual, Company, etc.)
3. Specifying Details (Optional):
While not mandatory, providing additional details can expedite the process. Land reference details (Folio number, Volume number, etc.) if known.
4. Payment and Delivery:
After submitting the request, proceed to the payment section. You can use a Master or Visa card for online payment.
Choose your preferred delivery method:
** Collect from the RGD office (free)
** Delivery by courier (additional fee)
5. Completion and Tracking:
** Once payment is confirmed, you’ll receive a reference number for tracking your request.
** The processing time for certified copies typically takes a few days.
