What is National Genome Program?
The Ministry of Health’s initiative in establishing a specialized center for genetic analysis came as a result of the government’s overall efforts in improving the quality of health services in Bahrain and preventing diseases. The center will provide valuable information through genomic database of the Bahraini population to identify ways of improving diagnostic tools, therapeutic options as well as lowering the population’s risk of contracting diseases.
To that end, this eService was created. It facilitates the process of participating in, withdrawing, and requesting results (if available) from the National Genome Program as it enables you to perform all those operations online through three types of form from which you can select: Participation / Withdrawal / Request Results.
In the Participation and Withdrawal forms, you are offered three options to choose from according to the description that fits the participant: Adult / Minor / Unable to express their will. To ensure the quality and efficiency of this eService, the user should take into consideration the user can add only one request (of each type) with the same CPR.
