Employee Online Application Process:

To apply for or renew an Employee Licence please follow these steps:
1. Make an application online at www.psaonlineapplication.com.
2. Pay the required fee using a debit/credit card.

3. An application form printed with the details provided by you will be posted out to you within 5 days.
4. The application form must be signed by you on the front and back pages and your photo attached.
5. The signed application form should be returned in the envelope provided together with all required documents.

Important:
The PSA have introduced an on line service to ensure accuracy and to help speed up the application request process

Step 1:
Fill in your application request details on the following pages

Step 2:
An application pack will arrive in the post in the next few working days

The application pack will contain:
** An application form with the details you have entered during this request process
** A Garda Vetting form
** A document with detailed guidelines

Step 3:
On Receipt of the application pack you will need to
** Sign and insert a passport style photo to the application form
** Complete the Garda vetting form and enclose
** Enclose all relevant documentation (explained in the application pack)
** Enclose payment if required
** Return the completed application form to the
** Private Security Authority
** Davis Street
** Tipperary
** Co. Tipperary

Step 4:
Your application will be processed by the Private Security Authority and you will be notified in due course whether your application has been successful

Employee Licence Fees :
** From 1st December 2015 licences last for three years.
** The cost of licences are as follows:
** Security Guard (Static) Licence €90
** Door Supervisor (Licensed Premises) Licence €150

** Protected Forms of Transport (Cash-in-Transit) Licence €150
** Two or more sectors €220
** Where two or more sectors are applied for at the same time a discount is given which is the sum of the two fees less €20. An example is:

** John applies for a Security Guard (Static) licence and a Door Supervisor licence at the same time. Without the discount the fee is €240 (i.e. €90 plus €150). However, because they are applied for at the same time the cost is €220 (i.e. €240 less €20).

** Renewal applications relating to licences expiring before 1st December 2015 will continue to pay the old rate of €80, €130 or €190 as it applies to the relevant sector for this renewal application only and the licence issued will last for two years.

As we are experiencing high volumes of licence applications and in order to facilitate the efficient management of licence issue, phone services will be available from 9.30am to 12 noon only.
