Instructions:
** Copy of most recent financial statements (balance sheet and income statement). New enterprises are allowed to submit projected financial statements provided the enterprise has been in operation for less than a year.
** Certified copy of current valid relevant license or registration certificate from the issuing authority (for industrial/manufacturing/trade license/registration certificate, attach a copy of the annual fee payment receipt).
** For unregulated activities, attach a printout of PPABD codes.
** Copy of registration certificate and/or incorporation certificate issued by Companies and Intellectual Property Authority (CIPA);
** Copy of valid tax clearance certificate and/or VAT registration;
** Affidavit (Click here to download affidavit format) confirming that the company is operational, when it started operating, its location of operation and the products/services currently produced;
** EDD application fee is P50.00 which is non-refundable.
** EDD Certificate fee is P500.00.
** The EDD certificate will be issued after the approval process and payment of the certificate fee of P500.00.
Terms and Conditions For MTI Online Services
The Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are provided by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Botswana as part of e-Government Implementation. They are meant to serve two main purposes being for general guidance on the use of the MTI Online Services (“services”) and to serve as a legal contract between the user and MTI.
The rights and obligations for each party on the use of MTI Online Services are clearly stipulated, although not exhaustively. The following are some of the key points you need to understand before using these services:
** Because we communicate through the Internet, you agree that we are entitled to assume that you have authorized all transactions once your personal data, supposedly known to you alone, have been entered.
** This will not apply if you have police report to prove that your confidential information have been misplaced, lost or stolen.
** Our records of your transactions will be proof of any instruction you have given us, unless you can prove to the contrary.
** It is your responsibility to ensure that the information and instructions provided when completing online service forms is legal, clean, true, correct and accurate.
** MTI will at all times try to provide assistance where necessary, but will not be responsible for any loss or damage caused by your error.
** Failure to provide all key information in filing some of the forms may lead to your request not being submitted. Key Information will always be shown by an asterisk (*).
** This service is free and cheaper to execute, however, unless otherwise stated in a service agreement, all transactions will be subject to the same turnaround times that apply to the same transactions, if done manually at MTI offices.
