How To Apply For One Working Permit in Brunei?

This service is provided by Department of Immigration and National Registration under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) for the application of one working permit. Any foreign citizen who intends to work in Brunei Darussalam is required to obtain the Work Visa before travelling to Brunei Darussalam.

For Singaporean and Malaysian Citizens:
** Form 23 (Form can be downloaded here)
** Application letter from employer/guarantor
** Photo of Applicant (2 Copies)
** Copy of Identity Card
** BUR500 Form from Labour Department (Original and Copy)
** Licenses for Foreign Workers from Labour Department (Original and Copy)
** Job Order from Labour Department
** Employment Agency Representative Card

For Other Foreign Citizens:
** Form 23 (Form can be downloaded here)
** Application letter from employer/guarantor
** Visa Form
** Photo of Applicant (2 Copies)
** BUR500 Form from Labour Department (Original and Copy)
** Licenses for Foreign Workers from Labour Department (Original and Copy)
** Job Order from Labour Department

Steps of Submitting Application

** Employment Agency representative submit Visa application and Work Pass to Department of Immigration and National Registration.
** A work Visa authorization letter will be issued.
** The work Visa authorization will be submitted to the representative of Brunei Darussalam overseas.
** Applicants will go to the representative of Brunei Darussalam abroad together with travel documents, health reports and relevant documents in order to obtain the Work Visa endorsement.

Application For Renewal of Employment Pass (Domestic Services)
This service is provided by Department of Immigration and National Registration under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) for the extension of Employment Pass for Domestic Services. Brunei Citizens or Permanent Resident / Foreign Citizens

How To Use The Service:
** Form can be downloaded here.
** Completed form should be submitted to Level 2, Bahagian Pas Kerja, Department of Immigration and National Registration.

Documents Required :
** License hiring and employing Foreign Workers (Original and Copy)
** Passport of Employee (Original and Copy)

Application To Obtain Student Pass:
This service is provided by Department of Immigration and National Registration under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) to enable foreign citizens to apply for student pass.

How to use the Service:
** Form can be obtained at the Counter of Visa & Diplomatic Division (Bahagian Visa Lawatan & Diplomatik) or download here.
** Application Form must be completed
** Thr visa application from is exempted for Malaysians and Singapore

Documents Required :
** Letter of application from the parent or guarantor
** Copy of authorization letter from the Department of School, Ministry of Education
** Copy of Birth Certificate for the relevant child
** Copy of the child’s passport and last guarantee
** Copy of the adoption letter issued in Brunei Darussalam
** Copy of Marriage Certificate
** Copy of Divorce Certificate (If Applicable)
** Copy of parents Identity Card together with warranty pass
** Copy of BUR500/BUR555 from Labour Department
