Sweet! Now you can do it on Twitter, too.
Every day of the Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, we’ll be tweeting cricket trivia questions from @sportsbetcomau (yes, you should probably follow us).
How to Play:
To score points, simply reply to the first question on Twitter (or in the form to the right) with your answer a quickly as possible, making sure you include #CWCTrivia. We’ll then send you another couple of questions to really test you out.
Remember, you have to match one of the official answers exactly, including correct spelling.
The first question is tweeted at 12pm AEDT every day.
The questions are active until 7pm AEDT each day, at which point the leaderboards will update.
Players will earn points based on the accuracy of their answers and how quickly they respond.
How to score points :
** Answer the first question correctly – 100 points to the first respondent, 95 points for second, and so on through to 55 points for tenth place. Following this, 50 points for a correct answer.
** Answering the following two questions tweeted to your handle correctly on the same day before 7pm also earns 50 points.
** Being one of the first 100 players to Retweet the first question – 10 points to be rewarded after the question is closed at 7pm.
** Following @sportsbetcomau – 10 points (one-time only bonus).
** Remember to include #CWCTrivia every time you answer a question.
Prizes:
It all starts on Valentine’s Day – February 14 (we love you, cricket!).
There are great overall and daily prizes up for grabs, including an awesome cricket esky! There are also a few great booby prizes as well, not to mention leaderboard bragging rights.
Terms and Conditions :
You must:
a. only use one Twitter account to enter the Competition. Anyone found to use multiple accounts to enter will be ineligible;
b. only use your Twitter account (and not somebody else’s) to enter the Competition;
c. submit no more than one identical answer to each question. However, you can submit multiple different answers to each question to maximise your chances of winning a prize;
d. not use the hashtag “#CWCTrivia” other than in connection with this Competition; and
e. ensure that your Tweet/reply does not include anything which:
i. is or may be offensive, controversial, illegal, defamatory, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, sexually inappropriate, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, objectionable with respect to race, religion, origin or gender, unsuitable for children aged under 18 or otherwise unsuitable for publication;
ii. may infringe the privacy, intellectual property or other rights of any person; or
iii. is likely to or may embarrass any individual or body or bring the Promoter into disrepute.
The prizes are supplied by third parties and the Promoter makes no representation or warranty in respect of any of the prizes or your use thereof. The prizes are provided on an “as is” basis and supplied on any conditions imposed by the prize suppliers.
This Competition is only open to Eligible Entrants who act at all times in good faith, sincerely, and without fraud. Any entrant or entry that the Promoter suspects, in its discretion, to be in breach of these Terms or attempting to gain an unfair advantage over other competitors (e.g. by the use of technology) will not be eligible.
