Otago Student ID Card

Otago ID Cards:
The ID Card Office issues ID cards for all students and staff, as well as contractors and visitors to departments.

Student cards display your name, username, and student email address. After hours building access is set and authorised by your department.

How to get your ID Card:
Before you to go the ID Card office to get your ID Card, please check you have done the following:
** Checked your enrolment status in your eVision record.
** Completed your Declaration.
** Wait 24 hours after completing your Declaration before you go to get your ID Card.

Take one of these acceptable forms of photo identifcation *Note no other forms of identity are accepted*:
** 2014 University of Otago student ID Card
** Full Passport
** New Zealand Drivers Licence
** 18+ Card
** New Zealand Firearms Licence

 

If you do not have one of the above forms of identity please ask at the ID Card office for a ‘Proof of Identity Form’.

Semester time:

Late nights on February 19 & 26 from 6pm to 8pm.

Note:
The Office will also open on Sunday 15 February 1pm-5pm.

Summer School in Auckland and Wellington :
** Summer School students taking any papers, eg, LAWS at the University sites in Auckland and Wellington should complete and submit the ID Card Application form for students outside Dunedin from the link above.
** Wellington students’ ID Cards will be posted to the address on the application form.

Wellington campus :
** Undergraduate students at the Wellington Campus can get your ID Card on site through the Library where the identity confirmation and photo is taken. The ID Card is normally available within 2-3 days.

** Postgraduate and PhD students can either send in the completed form available above or, if on the Wellington campus, make an appointment with Ewen Coleman, telephone (04) 385 5864, email ewen.coleman@otago.ac.nz to have your photo taken.
** All Wellington students (except Wellington Summer School students) must collect your ID Card from the Department Administrator for your course.

Christchurch campus :
Students on the Christchurch Campus should first check with your department how you get your card as there are 2 ways to do this :
1. Your department sends a class list to the ID Card Office for processing;
2. Individual students complete the ID Card Application form for students outside Dunedin from the link above.

Invercargill campus :
** Students should complete the ID Card Application form for students outside Dunedin from the link above.
