Marriage Registration in China :

The applicant who will go to China for marriage registration shall apply for a single/non-marital status certificate. The applicant who is a Chinese citizen shall apply for a certificate in accordance with requirements of Notary Certificate of Single Status.

How to apply:
1. An Affidavit of Single Status signed before a notary public.

2. Certified by the Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

3. Certified by the Embassy.

You may come to the Embassy for application, or entrust a representative to apply for you. No appointment is required.

Documents to be included with applications:
1. One Authentication Application Form (G1) .

2. The above-mentioned Affidavit of Single Status, and a photocopy of the paper where the notary public and certification officer signs and stamps.

Fees and processing time
1. The authentication fee of BD8 is payable by Cash.

2. The regular processing time is 4 working days. For express service, additional fees of BD12 for 1 working day processing(applications presented before 11:30am may be picked up before 13:00pm on the same day), or BD8 for 2-3 working days processing will be charged.

The Embassy adjusts Visa Fee for Baharaini Citizens :
According to the Bilateral Agreement and the Consular Equivalence Principle, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Bahrain will reduce the visa fee for Bahraini Citizens from 1st, September 2013 as follows :

The Embassy reduce Visa Fee for Baharaini Citizens :
According to the Bbilateral Agreement and the Consular Equivalence Principle, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Bahrain will reduce the visa fee for Bahrain Citizens from 4th, May 2015 as follows:

Additional information:
The applicant may only apply for an Affidavit of Single Status.

The applicant shall apply for the authentication from the Chinese Embassy within 3 months after the Affidavit of Single Status being notarized by the notary public. The Affidavit of Single Status is valid for 6 months after being authenticated by the Chinese Embassy.

According to the Marriage Law of the People’s Republic of China, the minimum marriage ability age is 22 for men and 20 for women.

Record Keeping of the Seal and Signature :
Article 11 Consular legalization agencies shall put relevant seals and signatures on record according to the Measures before performing consular legalization.

Article 12 Chinese notary organizations and other certifying agencies shall put relevant seals and the signatures of the notaries and signatories on record with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or local foreign affairs offices.

Article 13 Local foreign affairs offices shall put the seals for consular legalization, as well as the names, positions and signature patterns of consular legalization signatories on record with the consulates of relevant countries in China.

Article 14 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall put the seals for consular legalization, as well as the names, titles and signature patterns of consular legalization signatories on record with the embassies of relevant countries in China.

Article 15 Chinese embassies and consulates in other countries, as well as other overseas institutions authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall keep record of the seals of consular legalization agencies, as well as the names, positions and signature patterns of consular legalization signatories of the host countries.
