If you are eligible to renew your registration online, the registration and decal will be processed and mailed to you. If you are not eligible to renew online, on-screen messages will display with the reason the transaction cannot be processed.RMV-2 Renewal Card

The registration will be mailed to the owner’s mailing address listed on the Registry of Motor Vehicle’s (RMV) database. You may change your mailing address online prior to starting this transaction. If your vehicle is leased, your registration will be mailed to the lease company on file.

You may pay by credit card (American Express, VISA, Master Card, Discover) or E-check.

To get started you will need to enter the Plate Type and the Plate / Registration Number. This information can be found on your renewal reminder or registration certificate (see example on right).

Important:
Registration certificates are now printed on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. Along with the Registration, you will receive a decal for your rear plate. Your registration can only be sent to the mailing address on file at the time of the transaction.

Registration Inquiry:

To request a vehicle record you’ll need the vehicle’s registration Plate Type and Registration Number as printed on your vehicle registration card. You may also use the link provided on the Inquiry page to view data entry options.

Once your information is validated, the results will include: registration status, registration expiration date, a link to associated registration fees, last vehicle inspection date with result and insurance information.

Additional information may be obtained by providing subsequent user validation details.

Transactions for the following registration types are not available: dealer/manufacturer, repair, farm, owner contractor, transport and apportioned.

No personal information is ever displayed.

Amending a Registration :
Fees :
** A $25.00 fee is required for an amended registration.

Processing Time :
** If amending a registration in person, you will receive your amended registration at that time. If amending a registration by mail, please allow at least 10 days processing time for your amended registration to be mailed to you.

To Amend your Registration :
** You must go to your insurance agent and have him complete an Application for Amendment of Registration (RMV-3 Form), with the changes you request.
** Make sure your insurance agent stamps and signs the RMV-3.
** You must include the license numbers and dates of birth for all owners listed on the registration.
** After verifying the information, all owners must sign the RMV-3.
