The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority is pleased to offer our customers the convenience of on-line utility bill payments. With online bill pay, you can:

Payment can also be made at the drop boxes at WAPA customer service offices (payments must be dropped in by 2:30 p.m. to be credited on the same day), by mail, or at participating banks.

What if I don’t agree with my meter reading?
** When a customer disputes a meter reading, the Authority shall revisit the meter location and determine if the current meter reading is in line with the billed meter reading. If the billed meter reading was found to be inaccurate, the Authority shall cancel the incorrect bill and issue the customer a corrected bill.
What is the process for requesting a meter test?
** The Authority shall, upon written request of the customer, test the accuracy of the Authority’s meter in their (or authorized representative’s) presence. When the customer desires, either personally or through a representative to witness the testing of the meter, they may require the meter to be sealed in their presence at the time of its removal, which seal shall not to be broken until the test is made in their presence. A report of such test shall be made to the customer and a complete record of such test shall be kept on file.

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (VIWAPA) is a public power utility that provides electricity and water to the U.S. Virgin Islands. It is an autonomous agency of the Virgin Islands Government.
VIWAPA’s functions include:
** Providing electricity: VIWAPA generates and distributes electricity to approximately 55,000 customers in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
** Providing water: VIWAPA produces and distributes potable water to approximately 13,000 customers in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
** Maintaining infrastructure: VIWAPA maintains the transmission and distribution systems for electricity and water.
** Responding to outages: VIWAPA responds to outages in electricity and water.
** Investing in new technologies: VIWAPA invests in new technologies to improve the efficiency and reliability of its services.
** Educating the public: VIWAPA educates the public about energy and water conservation.
