LUT Scholarships
At the moment there are no tuition fees in degree programmes offered in Finnish higher education institutions.

Some Degree Programmes at Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) offers international degree students a limited number of Living Cost Scholarships in order to give them financial support for completing their studies adequately at LUT.
The scholarships are offered based on academic excellence and/or the need for financial aid to support the studies at LUT.
The student is able to apply for a schlarship while and when applying to the Master’s Programme offering the scholarships.
All the decisions regarding to possibly granting the scholarships are made by the Master’s Programme in question.
LUT Scholarships for the Intake :
LUT General Scholarship Programme:
In the intake, the Master’s Programmes in Chemical and Process Engineering and Computational Engineering and Physics will be offering a limited number of Living Cost Scholarships for students in the intake.
There are no other scholarships offered by LUT.
LUT Partner University Scholarship Programme:
In the intake of 2015, the Master’s Programmes in Chemical and Process Engineering, Computational Engineering and Physics and Energy Technology will be offering a limited number of Living Cost Scholarships for students selected from partner universities through double degree selection process.
There are no other scholarships offered by LUT.
The Fulbright-Lappeenranta University of Technology Graduate Award:
The Fulbright student award competition is open to students from the U.S. who have at least a Bachelor’s degree. The Fulbright scholarship has its own application process, application period and criteria.
Benefits:
The Fulbright-Lappeenranta University of Technology Graduate Award includes a monthly grant of 1 000 €. The grantee will also be provided with a travel award ($1 600) and accident and sickness insurance.
In addition, the grantee will be eligible, free of charge, to participate in a Fulbright Center pre-approved summer school in Finland consisting of courses on Finnish language, culture and society, pending availability of suitable programs.
Eligibility:
The Fulbright student award competition is open to American students who hold at least the Bachelor’s. Academically talented graduating seniors may also apply before having the degree in hand.
The grant is aimed primarily for students who wish to complete a full Master’s degree at Lappeenranta University of Technology. Also other students, such as academically talented doctoral students and Master’s degree exchange students (nondegree students) will be considered for the grant.
