Step 1: Process Bylaw Ticket Payment Online
** The Ticket Number is required.
** Only tickets or notices on tickets can be paid. They must be paid on or before the due date specified.

** Payments can be made by Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
** Please Note: Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode are security features that authenticate the credit card holder’s identity. These features prompt the customer to enter a secure pass code and is mandatory when paying online.
** Credit card information is captured and processed on a secure and confidential Web site.
** Please allow up to two (2) business days for the City of Edmonton Corporate Cash System to receive the payment.

FAQ:
Why isn’t the ticket information available when I enter my ticket number and why can’t it be paid online?:
The ticket is recently issued. The information will be available approximately five (5) days after the date of issue shown on the ticket.
The ticket or notice is paid.

The ticket or notice is past the due date shown. Payment can be mailed to:

Include the remittance portion of the ticket or notice along with your cheque or money order. Do not include cash.

What if the first three (3) digits of the license number, vehicle identification number (VIN) or name are not mine?:
The ticket number entered on the WEB, Step 2 screen may be incorrect. Please verify the ticket number with your ticket or notice.

The license number or VIN displayed may be incorrect. Please contact Bylaw Ticket Administration at (780) 496-5161, Mon. – Fri. 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please note the office is closed on statutory holidays.

Why is the ticket amount displayed on the WEB payment screen different from the written amount on the ticket?:
The amount shown on the ticket is incorrect. Please contact the Bylaw Ticket Administration office at (780) 496-5161, Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. Please note the office is closed on statutory holidays.

Why can’t I make a partial payment on the ticket or notice?:
Only the full amount on the ticket or notice can be accepted. City Council sets the fine amount for all City Bylaws and the Alberta Government sets the fine amount for Highway Traffic Act offences.

Where can I pay my ticket or notice?:
Tickets may be paid:
By mail – Enclose your remittance portion of the ticket or notice along with a cheque or money order to City of Edmonton, Bylaw Ticket Administration, PO Box 2024, Edmonton, AB T5J 4M6. Do not include cash.
Quick Payment Drop Boxes – Located at Chancery Hall (99 St. & 102 A Ave) during business hours. Include your remittance portion of the ticket or notice along with a cheque or money order. Do not include cash.
At Financial Institutions – Only tickets, on or before the due date can be paid at all banks, credit unions, and trust companies or at the automatic teller machines. Please bring the complete ticket or notice when paying.

When I pay, what will I receive as Proof of Payment?:
By mail, Quick Payment Boxes – Your cancelled cheque or your receipt copy of the money order is your proof of payment.
By WEB – Your authorization number from the credit card company is your proof of payment.

Where can I pay my Violation Ticket?:
Payment can be made at any Provincial Court of Alberta prior to the court date. Please check the phone book for locations.
Mail your payment to address shown on the Violation Ticket.

Can I get a refund on a payment I made on my ticket or notice?:
The City of Edmonton must verify certain information before a refund is issued. Please contact the Bylaw Ticket Administration office at (780) 496-5161, Mon. – Fri., 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. for further assistance. Note the office is closed on statutory holidays.
