Manitoba Justice fines and tickets can be paid online, avoiding the potential inconvenience that can come with having to go to a court centre in person. The online fine payment website is a secure service where you can pay with Visa or MasterCard.

Only full payments can be made online and they must be made between the response dates shown on your ticket.

A voluntary payment made online is considered a “guilty” plea to the charges against you. If you wish to plead “NOT guilty”, follow the instructions on the back of the ticket or refer to these frequently asked questions.

What is the maximum number of tickets or dollar amount that I can pay?:
You may pay up to 10 tickets. The maximum payment for one transaction is $9,999.99. The 10 tickets can be any combination of the three types of tickets that can be paid online.

What credit card can I use to pay?:
VISA or MasterCard are accepted. Payment will be processed in Canadian funds only. It will appear on your statement as “MB JUSTICE ONLINE FINE PYMT”.

Can I pay any ticket online?:
Many tickets can be paid online, including Common Offence Notices, Image Capturing Enforcement System Offence Notices (photo radar) and Bylaw Tickets.

Some tickets and fines cannot be paid online. They include cases where:
** the ticket is a City of Winnipeg or other municipal parking ticket
** the ticket has been sent to a collection agency
** a trial date has been set or requested
** the ticket has no set fine amount, “TO BE DETERMINED BY A JUSTICE” is checked off and a fine has not yet been set by the court
** items were seized when the ticket was given and the items have not yet been dealt with by the court
** a driver’s licence or vehicle registration has been placed on hold
** the fine is for a criminal offence

What should I do if I pay the wrong ticket online by mistake?:
If you paid the wrong ticket online by mistake, call the court office in Winnipeg at (204-945-3156), between 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, not including holidays..

Why can’t I find my ticket on the Manitoba Justice Online Fine Payment website?:
Here are some of the reasons:
** The ticket number, date of offence or original fine amount may have been entered incorrectly.

** Your ticket may not yet be available on our system. Look for it again after the respond date shown on the ticket, but before the due date. If you still cannot find your ticket, contact the court office at (204-945-3156) in Winnipeg, between 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, not including holidays, before the due date.

** If you have requested your ticket be transferred to a regional court office for a trial, or a trial date was set, you will not be able to pay online unless you cancel the trial. You must go to a court office if you want to cancel a trial. You could pay the ticket there, or request time to pay and wait for it to be put back online.

** If TO BE DETERMINED BY A JUSTICE is checked off on your ticket, you must go to court or have a lawyer or agent represent you there to respond to your ticket.
** If your ticket has been sent to collections, you must go to a court office or call (204-945-5850) in Winnipeg to arrange to pay your ticket.
** If any items were seized when you received your ticket, you will not be able to pay your ticket online unless the court has dealt with the seized items.

I paid my ticket, but I got a notice in the mail that the ticket wasn’t paid. Why did this happen and what should I do?:
It is possible a notice for payment was sent to you before your online payment entered the system, like letters crossing in the mail. To make sure the payment was received, contact the court office in Winnipeg at (204-945-3156). Give them the reference number printed on your Manitoba Justice Online Fine Payment confirmation.

Payments should be processed within 24 hours.
