Municipal parking tickets and Provincial Offences Act (POA) fines can be paid online anytime with PayTickets.ca. Online payments are secure, easy and take just a few minutes to complete.

Please note:
Not all public parking lots are owned by the City of Hamilton. Tips in recognizing a City-owned parking lot or City-issued parking ticket:
All City-owned parking lots are labeled with the green “P”
Parking tickets issued by the City can be identified by the wording City of Hamilton, Ontario Court of Justice, Province of Ontario, on the upper left hand corner of the ticket
Hamilton’s parking tickets are now printed on yellow weather resistant material; however, Hamilton Police Service and the Hamilton Region Conservation Authority will continue to use the previous style of tickets

How to pay your municipal (City of Hamilton) ticket:
Look at your ticket and determine what type of fine you have received. There are two kinds of tickets:
A Provincial Offences Act fine ORMunicipal Parking Fine

Select the online payment option below that corresponds with the fine

Hamilton Parking Infraction “M”, “A”, “T”, and “P” series tickets are now available to be paid through this service.

Please use UPPERCASE letter “M”, “A”, “T” or “P” when entering ticket information.

Note: The new yellow handheld issued parking tickets can be paid on-line at this time.

Teranet administers a $1.50 convenience fee for online payments.

Parking Penalty Notice :
** Also known as a parking ticket, a Penalty Notice is issued for all parking offences (with the exception of disabled parking) under the City of Hamilton Administrative Penalty By-law No. 15-138 (PDF, 215 KB). Penalty Notices were issued starting August, 2015 and replaced the ‘Parking Infraction Notice’.
** A person will have 15 days to either pay or request a review of the penalty. Failure to pay or have the penalty reviewed within 15 days will result in additional administrative fees being added to the penalty and the potential that you will be unable to renew (or receive a new) license plate validation sticker.

How to pay Penalty Notices :
There are 3 ways to pay your Penalty Notice :
Online :
Pay your parking ticket online :
** You will need to pay a non-refundable fee for each transaction.
** Fees payable are calculated based on 1.75% of the ticket amount owing to a maximum of $1.50.

** Your payment must be processed before the due date on your parking ticket or it may be rejected and subject to additional fees.
** Payments made Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, before 8:30 pm will be processed the same business day, otherwise bill payments will be processed the next business day.

In person :
** You can pay your parking ticket with cash, cheque, money order, debit or credit cards.
Pay your ticket at the following locations :
** Hamilton Municipal Parking System
** 80 Main Street West, Hamilton
** Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Municipal Service Centres :
** Find a location near you.
** Hours vary by location.
** You can leave your cheque or money order payment in the drop boxes at these locations. Please do not leave cash in the drop boxes.

By mail :
** By mailing a cheque to the address noted on the parking ticket. Please make your cheque payable to the City of Hamilton and do not post-date your cheque.
