A Short Film Competition to Celebrate the World Environment Day :
The Ministry of Environment and Renewable Energy has decided to organize an all island short film competition under the theme “Soba Chalana Sithuwam” to celebrate the World Environment Day, which is held on 05 June 2014.
A competitor can present more than one film and each film should be presented in three DVD copies.
Short films forwarded to this competition should be of maximum 05 minutes duration and may base any theme related to the environment. Films can be presented in Sinhala, Tamil and English languages and it is appropriate if films in Sinhala and Tamil could be subtitled in English language (This condition is not applicable for films that do not contain dialogues). Officers of the Ministry of Environment and Renewable Energy and its affiliated institutions are not eligible to participate in this competition.
Judgment of the competition will be done by a panel comprised of experts in the field.

All films should be sent before 09.05.2014 to reach the
Promotion and Environment Education Division,
Ministry of Environment and Renewable Energy,
