Police Record Application Procedure :

The Criminal Records Office of the Royal Grenada Police Force has the responsibility of processing Certificate of Character or Police Records.

The office currently operates in the Millinnium Building (adjacent to Modern Photo Studio) on Gore Street in the town of St. George’s, from Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.

Records are issued in two categories, international and local. To obtain the relevant record please provide the following requirements upon request.

International use include:
(United States travel & employment on cruise ship or other marine related employment). In some instances, more than one record would be required.

Each record requires:
** Two (2) passport photos (not older than six months). An extra photos for each additional record
** $25 (EC) receipt from treasury or revenue (sub) office or $40 for (2) records
** Original fingerprint
** Passport or NIS ID
** if above ID is not available provide Birth Certificate and any other picture ID
** Copy of passport data page must be sent for persons applying from overseas

Note for overseas applicants:
Fingerprint must be from an authentic fingerprint agency

Where money order is being used, it must be made to Commissioner of Police and include $10 processing fee

Certificate is processed within 5 working days.

Remember!:
Some emergencies will need more than one service (Fire, Ambulance and Police). Ask for the service which is needed most urgently.

For example; a car crash with serious injury would require Ambulance and Police. The ambulance is needed most urgently to deal with the injured. Ask for AMBULANCE when dialing 911.

All emergency services have a direct link to each other and the initial service called will notify the other services if they are required.

How Can I Request for Police Security for Events?
Where there is a need for police security at any event a request must be made to the Commissioner of Police three (3) working days in advance stating;
** The time of the event
** The date of the event
** Place where the event will be held
** What type of event is being held?
** Who is hosting the event?
** The total amount of Police Officers requested

** A fee of twenty Eastern Caribbean Currency ($20.00 ECC) per hour for each police officer will be charged and, this fee must be paid to the Finance Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force (Police Headquarters) in cash or by cheque and an official receipt must be collected one (1) day prior to the hosting of the event. Where payment is being made by cheque it must be written out to the Commissioner of Police.
