For how long is the temporary residence permit issued?:
Temporary residence permit is issued to a foreign citizen, wishing to say in Georgia for more than 90 days and up to 6 years.

Which requirements should I satisfy to obtain a temporary residence permit?:
You should be a foreigner, who:
** is employed in Georgia in accordance with labor legislation of the country, including freelance professionals;
** is staying in Georgia for the purposes of health treatment or study;
** is invited by the state agencies as a highly qualified specialist or is an artist and his/her invitation is within the state interest;
** is guardian or custodian of a Georgian citizen;
** is under the guardianship or custody of a Georgian citizen;
** is a spouse, parent, child, adoptee, adoptive parent, sister, brother, grandmother or grandfather of a Georgian citizen or a foreigner, who has residence permit;
** about whom there is a reasonable doughty to believe that he/she is a victim of human trafficking;
** is a participant of a hearing of commission on restitution and compensation.

For consideration of your application, please submit following documentation:
1. if you are a foreigner, who is employed in Georgia (including freelance professionals):
a) a copy of your passport or travel document;
b) a document verifying your legal stay in Georgia – if by the time of application you are in Georgia, than – Georgian visa, a stamp in your passport verifying crossing of Georgian border, etc.
c) a document verifying your employment in Georgia (employment contract or any other document verifying your employment); in case of freelance professionals – a bank statement, which reflects flow of money on the account for the period of one year;
d) document verifying legal income;
e) 2 photos, size 3×4
2. If you are a foreigner, who is in Georgia for the purposes of health treatment or study:
a) a copy of your passport or travel document;
b) a document verifying your legal stay in Georgia – if by the time of application you are in Georgia, than – Georgian visa, a stamp in your passport verifying crossing of Georgian border, etc.
c) a document issued by the medical institution verifying the fact that you need a treatment in Georgia or a document issued by educational institution verifying your enrolment in the institution (including indication of approximate period for treatment or study)
d) document verifying legal income;
e) 2 photos, size 3×4
3. If you are a foreigner, who is invited by the state agencies as a highly qualified specialist or is an artist and his/her invitation is within the state interest:
a) a copy of your passport or travel document;
b) a document verifying your legal stay in Georgia – if by the time of application you are in Georgia, than – Georgian visa, a stamp in your passport verifying crossing of Georgian border, etc.
c) invitation of an appropriate state agency;
d) document verifying legal income;
e) 2 photos, size 3×4
4. If you are a foreigner owning real estate in Georgia in the value of at least GEL 100 000 with the right of property or having the sum of money in the same amount deposited in the banking institution of Georgia:
a) Copy of passport or travel document;
b) Copy of the document proving the fact of legal stay in Georgia, if the person is in Georgia at the time of submitting the application (Georgian visa, the document proving the fact of crossing the state boundary of Georgia etc);
c) The document proving the fact of owning real estate in Georgia in the value of at least GEL 100 000 with the right of property or a certificate proving availability of the sum of money amounting to at least GEL 100 000 deposited in the banking institution of Georgia;
d) Written mediation of the member of the Government of Georgia or written substantiated recommendation of 3 citizens of Georgia having the representative authority of an entrepreneurial entity engaged in activity in Georgia;
e) Receipt proving payment of the service fee;
f) 2 3X4 photos.
5. If you are a foreigner having made investment in Georgia in the value of at least GEL 100 000, according to the Law of Georgia “On investment activity and guarantees”:
a) Copy of passport or travel document;
b) Copy of the document proving the fact of legal stay in Georgia, is the person is in Georgia at the time of submitting the application (Georgian visa, the document proving the fact of crossing the state boundary of Georgia etc);
c) The document proving the fact of owning real estate in Georgia in the value of at least GEL 100 000 with the right of property or a certificate proving availability of the sum of money amounting to at least GEL 100 000 deposited in the banking institution of Georgia;
d) Written mediation of the member of the Government of Georgia or written substantiated recommendation of 3 citizens of Georgia having the representative authority of an entrepreneurial entity engaged in activity in Georgia;
e) Receipt proving payment of the service fee;
f) 2 3X4 photos.
The person whose Georgian citizenship has been terminated and who has not left the territory of Georgia, is not required to submit the document proving the fact of legal residence in Georgia to obtain permanent residence permit and certificate of legal income and the person whose Georgian citizenship has been terminated and who has left the territory of Georgia is required to submit the certificate of legal income.
Documents issues by a foreign agency should be translated in Georgian language and notarized accordingly. Documents issues by a foreign agency should also be legalized or certified by apostil (upon necessity).
The issue of persons under 18 years of age is considered based on the application filed by their legal representative. In this case certified consent of parents or legal representatives is required. To obtain residence permit of a person under 18 years of age, certified consent of a parent or a written consent drawn up in the presence of an authorized official of the agency receiving the application shall be attached to the application filed by the other parent.
