Ottawa School Bus Request For Stop Change

All requests for bus stop changes must be made in writing to the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority.

Requests for stop changes can not be made over the phone. Please do not submit multiple requests, as this will only delay the processing of your request. At this time of year, stop change requests will be reveiwed starting in October.

Requests for school bus stop changes should be sent to the the zone in which your child’s school is located:
east AT ottawaschoolbus.ca
centre.east AT ottawaschoolbus.ca
centre.west AT ottawaschoolbus.ca
west AT ottawaschoolbus.ca

Please be sure to include the following information in your email:
** Your child’s name, school, and pick up and drop off location
** Your child’s existing bus stop location
** The new stop you are requesting
** The reason for the request for stop change

Use OSTA’s Online Stop Finder:
We have created a safe and convenient online Stop Finder tool to assist you in finding the bus stop location that your child has been assigned to. Upon entering your child’s school, grade, and your home phone number, our Stop Finder will tell you where your child will be picked up and/or dropped off, and which bus company has been assigned to the route.

Please note that the Stop Finder will only work for students who are currently registered at a school belonging to the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) or the Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB). The information inputted into each school’s electronic student information system (database) is sent directly to OSTA so that bus stops can be created and assigned.

The Stop Finder is only intended for students who are eligible for and assigned to transportation only. It cannot provide specific information pertaining to OC Transpo public transportation routes, or those who do not meet the eligibility criteria, based on their residential address, or caregiver address, if applicable. Students travelling to and from school by small vehicle/taxi will be contacted directly by the driver prior to the start of school with the exact pick up and drop off time.

While every attempt is made to provide accurate information, OSTA does not assume liability for any unintentional errors or omissions to the data provided in the Stop Finder.

School Bus Route Schedules

School Bus Route Schedules are available on this website from August to October of each school year.

The schedules are removed on October 1st due to the high number of schedule changes that are made during the start of the school year to accommodate new students and stops. Updated schedule information can be obtained at any time by contacting OSTA directly.

Do you want to change your address or caregiver information?:
Please contact the office administrator at your child’s school should you wish to report a change to your child’s address or caregiver information. The school will update their student records and this change will automatically be sent to OSTA to apply transportation service changes, if applicable. Any change to your child’s transportation becomes effective on the fourth working day after the change has been entered by the school.
