You can pay online, by phone, by mail, at an EZ Pay Station, in-person at a City Payment Site or at your local currency exchange.

Credit Card Payments:
You can submit a payment online via the Online Water Payments Application, using a credit card or debit card. The following cards are currently accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
In order to make a payment you will need the following information: type of card, card number, expiration date, name as it appears on the card and the card verification number (CVN). The CVN is collected to protect you and the City of Chicago from fraudulent charges being made. If your card number were to be stolen (say from an old statement that was discarded) the person who stole the number would not be able to complete the transaction because they would not have the CVN.
Payment Confirmation:
After you have successfully submitted a payment, you will be directed to the Payment Confirmation page. You will have the ability to print out the page details for your records. You will also receive a system-generated email confirming the payment transaction, if you provided an email address. Additionally, you will have access to view all previous online payments via the e-Payment History Page.
Utility Bill :
** The City of Chicago offers a variety of convenient payment options to help make paying your utility bill quicker and easier.
** The easiest way to pay is through the City’s new web portal for utility billing.
The web portal allows you to :
** View, print or download your bills;
** Go green and enroll in paperless billing;
** View payment history and usage;
** Make a quick payment; and
** Sign up for AutoPay
** The AutoPay feature allows you to pay your bills with automatic debits from your bank account. With AutoPay, you will not have to remember to pay your bill. There are no service fees and you will receive a reminder email prior to the automatic debit.
