NAB Smart Statements:
NAB Smart Statements allow you to:
** have access to your eligible statements 24/7
** view up to seven years of statement history

** view up to 560 days worth of transaction history within your NAB Internet Banking session (once registered to receive statements online only)
** view ‘General account notices’ regarding your account (once registered to receive statements online only).
Register to receive statements online only:
To register to receive statements online only from:
** Outside the Settings/Mailbox service-Roll your cursor over ‘Settings/Mailbox’ on the main menu and select ‘Statement settings’ from the drop down list
** Within the Settings/Mailbox service-Click on the Statement settings sub-menu option
** Select the radio button corresponding to the accounts you wish to receive statements Online Only
** Enter the email address you wish to receive online statement notifications to.
** Select to receive offers and promotional information online. This is optional
** Review the terms and conditions of use.
** Select the checkbox to accept the Terms and Conditions of use.
** Note: Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions is required to register to receive statements online only.
** Choose a General Account Notices option.
** Click Submit.

If you need to make any amendments to your NAB Smart Statements settings, you can click Statements, then Modify statement settings or click Settings/Mailbox, then Statement settings.
Error messages:
You may encounter the following errors while trying to register to receive statements online only:
Unable to register for NAB Smart Statements with this NAB ID:
The primary cause of this error is because you have an ineligible NAB Smart Statement account or used an ineligible NAB ID.
Unable to register for NAB Smart Statements because no eligible accounts held:
This message will appear when registering to receive statements online only is unsuccessful as you don’t hold an eligible account.
Although you won’t be registered to receive statements online only, you’ll be able to view up to 560 days of transaction history for your NAB accounts within NAB Internet Banking.
View NAB Smart Statements:
To view your NAB Smart Statements from:
** Outside the account info service -roll your cursor over account info. on the main menu and select Statements from the drop down list
** Within the account info service-click the Statements sub-menu option
** Select the account you want to view from the Select an account drop down list.
** Select what you want to use to search:
** the most recent statement
** the Search by date functionality (the date range must be within 3 years for each search)
** Click Search.
** The statements that match the criteria set will display.
** Click on the statement you need.
** The statement will display in another window in a PDF format.
** Save and/or Print the file if you require.
Terms and Conditions:
NAB Smart Statements delivers electronic statements of account through NAB Internet Banking (the service) for eligible accounts. This is in addition to delivery of paper statements by mail for the same accounts. Until you register to receive electronic statements online only instead of by paper, statements of account will be delivered in paper by mail and electronically within NAB Internet Banking for eligible accounts.
These terms and conditions apply to your registration to access electronic statements online only instead of by paper. NAB Smart Statements are governed by these terms and conditions together with the terms and conditions for the service (NAB Internet Banking) as additional functionality of the service. If there is any inconsistency, the NAB Smart Statements terms and conditions succeed regarding delivery and access to NAB Smart Statements.
Eligibility:
You may register for NAB Smart Statements electronically only instead of by paper within the service if you are:
** an accountholder of an eligible account; and
** a registered user of the service.
NAB Smart Statements are not available to authorised users of the service who are not an accountholder of an eligible account.
Joint account holders:
Each joint accountholder of an eligible account may separately register for NAB Smart Statements electronically only instead of by paper through the service. A paper statement will continue to be sent to any joint accountholder who has not registered for NAB Smart Statements.
Where joint accountholders for an eligible account have nominated a single statement be sent to a nominated mailing address, each accountholder may register for NAB Smart Statements electronically instead of by paper. The single paper statement for the account will continue to be sent to the nominated mailing address until that instruction to NAB is revoked.
Nominated accounts:
NAB determines which accounts are eligible accounts for NAB Smart Statements. Further information about eligible accounts is available in the FAQs issued for NAB Smart Statements which is accessible on NAB’s website.
At registration, you may nominate an eligible account for NAB Smart Statements electronically only instead of by paper if that account is accessible by you within the service. You may subsequently change your nominated account(s) settings through the service.
Following selection of a nominated account for NAB Smart Statements electronically only, you will no longer receive paper statements for that account (except for accounts jointly held for which a single paper statement is issued as referred to above).
Delivery of NAB Smart Statements:
A NAB Smart Statement for your nominated account is delivered through the service according to the statement cycle for that account. The statement cycle for each nominated account is subject to the terms and conditions for that account. Upon registration for NAB Smart Statements electronically only you will no longer receive a paper statement delivered by mail for that account.
For each NAB Smart Statement you will be notified by email to your nominated email address of the availability of your NAB Smart Statement in the service.
NAB Smart Statements are taken to be received on the day that the email enters the information system of your internet service provider or the host of your email address.
Access to NAB Smart Statements:
You may access each NAB Smart Statement which is available for your nominated account(s) within the service for a period of up to 7 years from the date of the statement.
For each NAB Smart Statement you may:
** View;
** Print; and/or
** Save it to an electronic file.
You need to be aware that joint accountholders who are subsequently added to a nominated account, may then access NAB Smart Statements for the nominated account for a period before they became a joint accountholder to the nominated account.
