Renewal of Work Permits to Domestic Workers:

Description of Service:
Domestic help working for Bahraini citizens, residents or citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries living in Bahrain, are issued a renewal for their resident permit for two years, Renewal are subject to the rules and regulations according to the labor and NPRA laws.

Required Terms of Service:
** The guarantor or his legal representative must be present to the service.
** Applications must be separated in case of having more than one application and each request must have its own documents attached.
** In case of renewal for some African nationalities renewal medical examination is required.

Required Documents:
** Service request form.
** The original passport and a clear copy of the domestic help passport.
** Renewal of the original resident permit issued by Ministry of Labor
** A clear copy of the guarantor’ National ID. A copy of the applicant’s ID card or National ID.
** Medical examination certificate for some nationalities.

Procedures:
** Go to Nationality, Passport & Residence Affairs, make sure to provide the required documents and follow the submission procedures.
** Fill out the application form and wait for your service number on the screen.
** Go to the concerned employee to submit the required documents and follow up number.
** Pay the fees and receive your receipt

Fees:
Bahraini guarantor – 17 BD
Foreign guarantor – 22 BD

Terms and Conditions:
** The NPRA shall hold all information provided con?dential.
** The representative of the employer or guarantor shall act within the limits of the authorization.
** The NPRA reserves the right to approve a request or reject it.
** The visitor or resident is not permitted to stay in the Kingdom after the expiry of visa or residence permit.
** Visitor must be able to support himself ( and any dependants ) during the visit.
** Visitor is not allowed to take up any employment.
** Visitor shall hold a valid passport and return ticket.
** Holding a visa does not guarantee entry to the Kingdom of Bahrain unless it meets all conditions and the holder has required documents on arrival to be granted entry, at the discretion of the Passport Of?cer at the port.
** The application is subject to Laws and Regulations of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the penalties for irregularities desecribed in Penal Code and particular laws in this regard. The NPRA has the right to order the repatriation of any expat at any time, on violation of laws, and regulations by the expat or the employer or the guarantor.
** The visitor must provide the address of his residence in the Kingdom.

The application shall be rejected :
1. If the data and documents provided is incorrect.
2. If it does not meet the conditions required for visa or residence permit.
