ACAS/ Coca-Cola Agriculture Scholarship:

Each year Coca Cola and the Australian Agricultural Societies Association make available up to 35 scholarships of $2000 each.

Applicable for Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

To be eligible you must;
** Be Studying at Tafe or Uni in a agriculture related field
** Be a current member of a Show Society

Who can apply? :
The ACAS/ Coca-Cola Agriculture Scholarships are open to any Australian citizen or permanent resident who;
i) is studying a topic related to Agriculture at University or Tafe.
ii) is a current member of an Australian Agricultural or Show Society.

Not a Member of an Australian Agricultural Society? :
Simply find your local show society and contact them to apply for membership.
Being a member of an Australian Agricultural Society has more benefits that you first imagined. Agricultural Societies offer young people the opportunity to be involved with their local community, gain valuable agricultural experience, and learn about emerging opportunities in Australian agriculture.

How do I apply? :
Applying for an ACAS/Coca-Cola agriculture scholarship is easy. Simply complete the online application form or download the scholarship information pack and post your application by the due date to;

What do I need to apply? :
You’ll need to include your academic details, work experience, extra-curricular activities, and your Australian Show Society membership details.

How are applicants selected? :
Scholarships are awarded on a state basis. Preference in awarding scholarships will be based on the commitment to regional Australia and involvement in your local agricultural society. The selection process takes into account the whole student including their- involvement in local rural shows, work experience, agricultural experience, community service, leadership skills and academic achievements.
Successful applicants must be prepared to travel to the Capital City of their home state during the Annual Royal Show to formally be presented with the scholarship.

How do I know if my application has been successful? :
Applications may be made on line or by mail, and winners are notified by mail a few weeks prior to the date of the Royal Show in their Capital City. If your application is successful you will be notified in writing about how to claim your scholarship.

Can I reapply next year? :
Previous applicants are welcome to reapply.

Applications for the ACAS/Coca-Cola 2013 Scholarship Program close;
NSW applicants : 7th March 2014
All other states : 30th June 2014
Early Applications will be appreciated. Your state is determined by your membership of your nominated Agricultural Show Society.

Late Applications : Late applications will not be considered.
