MOL Mission Labour Card Issuance

Service Description:
It means to obtain a mission labour card and employment contract for a worker by an establishment.

Required Documents

** A copy of the medical certificate
** A copy of mission entry permit indicating the entry date (when the worker enters the UAE) or the settlement date.
** A copy of the employment contract

** The establishment shall carry out a general medical examination for the worker upon his/her entry. The medical certificate shall be attached to the application for mission labour card and employment contract
** The establishment shall obtain a mission labour card and employment contract within a maximum period of 30 days as of the entry or settlement date. The establishment shall, prior to the lapse of this period, submit the application to the Ministry for avoidance of a fine.
** In case of exceeding the said period, the establishment shall pay (in total or in part) a delay fee of AED 500 per 5 days of delay for not issuing an electronic mission labour card, after the lapse of (30) days as of the entry or settlement date

Applications shall be printed and the required documents shall be scanned at service centers “”Tas’heel””, or through establishments participating in the Ministry’s e-forms program

The application is transferred electronically to the Ministry’s database for verification and making sure that all required conditions and documents are satisfied

To follow-up on the application status or print the approval notice, the applicant can use the Enquiry Services by visiting the Ministry’s portal www.mol.gov.ae

In case of any missing documents, the applicant is notified to visit the service centers “Tas’heel” to fulfill the requirements.

FAQ

How is the overtime calculated? Is it upon the basic salary or the gross salary?
The overtime is calculated upon the gross salary (basic salary + the agreed allowances) and the employee is entitled for overtime with an increase of not less than 25% of that wage. In case the overtime is performed between the hours of 9 pm and 4 am, then the employee ought to be paid an increase not less than 50 % of that wage.

Does the employer have the right to refuse my annual vacation despite me completing one year of service with him?
Yes, the employer has the right and he/she can decide when the annual leave starts. In addition, the employer can (in a very critical business situation) divide the annual vacation period into two and transfer the remaining days to the following year.

How is the End of Service Remuneration calculated? Is it according to the basic salary or to the gross salary?
The End of Service Remuneration is calculated according to the last paid basic salary only, without any allowances.

When is the employee entitled to get the return ticket as stipulated in the employment/ labour contract?
In the case of dismissal or leaving the country, the employee is entitled to get the return ticket to his/her origin country, as well as in the event of completion of the agreed contract term. In case of the employee’s resignation or being dismissed as per the Article No. (120) of the Labour Law, then the employee is not entitled to receive a return ticket.
